BYM: 虽然一介平民，也要关心《帝国与传播》

本期 BYM，再次邀请到了董老师，简里里老师，一起来聊聊［知识付费］。这是当下一个风口，简、董两位老师也都实操的 practitioner -- 两位在豆瓣时间都有，或者即将有作品推出。对于［知识付费］这个话题，是很有发言权的。董老师在节目中介绍了一本书《帝国与传播》（Empire and Communications, Harold Innis, 1950）。书中考察了古代埃及、巴比伦、希腊、罗马这些帝国，以及他们的书写媒介（石头、泥板、草叶、纸），探究两者直接的因果关系。Innis 把书写媒介分为两类：趋向时间 vs. 趋向空间。以石头为刻写媒介是典型的趋向时间：一旦刻写好，可以历经世纪，但是难以运输。（英文有成语 carved in stone, 类似咱们的 “板上钉钉”，那就是已经做定论，不能再改了。）草叶则是典型的趋向空间的媒介：运输方便，但是很快就朽坏了，无法保存。Innis 由此推出，由于两种媒介性质的不同，推动不同的帝国走上不同的发展方向。Innis 在世的时候，还没有互联网（他在20世纪50年代就过世了）。不知道他看到了互联网，又会作何感想。本期覆盖内容较多，这里只介绍以上一点。其余请收听节目！
