This intrepid Author invites his friends and occasional collaborators to join him at a “stimulating” symposium in New Orleans where attendees plan to discuss their work on the dark recesses of human ideology and behavior. This eccentric summit held in the French Quarter offers intriguing promise to seasoned investigators and tantalizes the uninitiated, not to mention guarantees a great deal of after-hours revelry. When investigators arrive at the luxurious lodging arranged by the Author the day before the symposium is scheduled to begin, they discover both the Author and their host, Count Cazenave, have gone missing.
