Camilla is the author of Wisdom Man by Banjo Clarke as told to Camilla Chance: the compassionate life and beliefs of a remarkable [Australian] Aboriginal Elder Born of Russian, Irish and English parentage, Camilla Chance came to Australia in 1946. She has worked as an editor at Faber & Faber, London, an English teacher, a lyric writer and a book reviewer for prestigious newspapers, and now lives in Byron Bay, Australia. In 1975 she became a close friend of Banjo Clarke, and, at his request, continued interviewing him until his death 25 years later. Camilla believes that indigenous people who are true to their old laws are living the closest to how we all need to live now, for our planet to survive.
