Dr. Jimenez is the founder and head of the OncoProteomics Laboratory since 2006, as well as a Professor of 'Translational OncoProteomics' at the Department of Medical Oncology at the VU University Medical Center. She is a biologist with a keen interest in biomarker applications and protein signaling in cancer and neurodegenerative diseases. Her lab focuses on label-free mass spectrometry-based proteomics for candidate biomarker/target discovery and the development of innovative phosphoproteomics-based approaches for personalized medicine.
