Can we keep our eyes focus on God amidst trials and fear?

Fr. Peter Wee touches on doubt, which is the absence of certainty, today in all of the 3 readings.For the first reading, Elijah flees from Ahab and Jezebel after killing the prophets of Baal. He is despondent and full of doubt, but the angels fed him and he had his theophany in the cave in the form of a gentle breeze where God gave him a mission.Similarly, Paul in the second reading was sorrowful that the Jews in Rome did not accept Christ, yet he depends fully on Christ.Finally, in the gospel, after the multiplication of loaves, in the middle of the night, the apostles were fearful when they saw Jesus coming towards their boat in the midst of a tumultuous sea. Peter instead, kept his eyes on Jesus and walked on water towards him, until he got distracted and started to sink, then Jesus put out his hand and held him.In our lives, we will be faced with doubt, trials and tribulations. Like these 3 readings, we have to focus on God, on Jesus and be conscious of Jesus in our Christian life.How do we get Christ consciousness?
