Can We Truly Live as Liberated Beings While Still Alive? | உயிருடன் இருக்கும்போதே ஜீவன் முக்தி சாத்தியமா?

from Santhosam Podcast: Guiding Light of Spiritual Wisdom · host Santhosam

In the 12th Velvi discourse, Gurumahan speaks about Moksha Sthalam, explaining that anyone who is drawn to UPF at Thirumurthi Hills is not coming by chance, but is being guided there for liberation. He emphasizes UPF, Thirumurthi Hills is meant for moksha and that those who arrive are destined for spiritual awakening.Today, this place (UPF, Thirumurthi Hills, Udumalpet) is a Moksha sthalam, not merely a holy site. Whoever comes here will experience sorrow, hardship, pain, and many trials. These challenges are certain. Yet you are the ones who have faced them and overcome them. You possess courageous hearts even amidst difficulties. In earlier times, seekers were tested before receiving this Kundalini Initiation (Gnana Upadesam). But this is Kali Yuga; if such strict tests were given now, such a gathering would not be possible. The disciples are everready to test the Guru, but they expect the Guru should never test them. That shows the depth of disciples love for the Guru (adds Gurumahan jokingly). The purpose of this Gnana Peedam is to give Upadesam and then observe the seekers. It does not deny material things like money. It gives and watches how one uses what is given. You are not ordinary souls. Across many births, you have visited many holy places and temples with the sincere intention of realizing the true Divine. That is why you have come here now. The deeper reason for your arrival is this: this is your final birth. You will not receive another human body. This present physical body must support you fully in this life. There is no need for rebirth. You are meant to transform into a body of light. From that realization comes what is called Viveka Mukti.Liberation while still in the body is one state. Some attain Viveka Mukti even shortly after leaving the body, once they have received this Gnana Upadesam. But you are not those who wait until the final moment of death, concentrating between the eyebrows or at the Crown, hoping to cross the mystery of death and gain liberation. You are not seekers who search for Mukti only at the last breath. You understand the state of liberation even now. At any time, you can leave the physical body without hesitation or fear. You have removed the fear of death. Such a person is called a Jivan Mukta. Therefore, all who receive this wisdom here can live as liberated beings while still alive. They remain steady in pleasure and pain, in liking and disliking, in profit and loss, in heat and cold. Their minds stay balanced in all conditions. That is why the Gita describes such a person as Sthita Prajna. The Upanishads express this truth as “Prajnanam Brahma.”What is Prajnanam? It is not the waking state, not the dream state, and not the deep sleep state. It is the Divine awareness (MeiUnarvu - Fourth state of consciousness) that exists beyond even sleep. When one abides steadily in that inner awareness, one lives here itself as a Jivan Mukta.Send us Fan MailLet Wisdom Flourish!Let Peace Prevail!
