This is a trial episode for something new I wanted to introduce as: Candid Conversations. This is a first hand account and glimpse into the discussions I have with other believers in faith. I hope you enjoy this candid conversation that provides a male and female perspective on the church ideology behind women and the way they dress.  If you associate as female, I know your clothing and outward appearance has been a topic of contention at some point in your life.  If you want an authentic look into how this makes both myself and my partner feel, this is the episode for you!  In this conversation we are addressing difficult topics such as: "How do people in the church perceive a woman who "dresses sexy"? What does the bible say about outward appearance and appropriateness? Is there mixed messaging from church that supports Gods love but judges the appearance of those who attend? What kind if trauma has this caused women in the church to feel about our bodies? And how can we open the dialogue more for women to love their bodies and themselves fully. From this candid conversation I hope others see first hand how two people in a relationship can have healthy, effective disagreements without disrespecting the other persons point of view. In this conversation we both make space for each others personal experiences and take aways. We both allow each other to speak without judgement.
