I wanted to wrap up the season adresing some common misconceptions in the self help world regarding New Year vision boards and New Year Manifestations. While I do believe in using the cognitive mind set of putting your vision on paper in order to rid your mind of disbelief/lack and replace intrusive thoughts with abundance; I do not believe manifesting alone is all it takes to see active change in our lives. In addition to manifesting we must also put good works behind our faith to create actionable achievable steps that will bring our manifestations to life.Not only is this psychological but this is also a biblical concept that requires faith and action to be used in unison when we pray and wait on God for our desires. This episode breaks down the concept of planting and seeing a harvest in practical farmer terms. The same concepts can be used when discussing personal growth. We are breaking down the incredible book called "Love and Respect" by Doctor Eggerichs and discussing various communication styles for relationships called "TIP" and "Listener/Speaker". Both of these communications styles drastically changed our love for one another and made us both feel heard and understood. Love alone is not enough to sustain any relationship let alone the Godly covenant of marriage. Like any life transformation and life responsibility, there are practical tools you can learn to help you draw nearer to your spouse.  In this episode you will hear several acronyms we learned on how men and women both spell love differently. Men value respect and need it to stay in their relationships and most women value and prioritize needing to feel loved above all else. The way women spell love is through the acronym "COUPLE" and the way men spell love is through the acronym "CHAIRS". Once you learn that your partner hears and sees through an entirely different lens then you do; you will learn what they need. Not only are the concepts we're sharing biblical, they are also psychological. God tells us in his word that there will be struggle in all marriages; he also says that marriage is the greatest depiction of his love and how Christ loves the Church. We are accountable to upholding this covenant even when its hard. We pray that the lessons we learned the hard way, shows listeners they are not alone. You are seen and you can be encouraged that misery in your relationship is not what God intends. I believe as life goes on, we all have varying seasons of what Spirit wants us to focus on. In my current season, God has me focusing on my soon to be marriage, attending pre marital counseling and learning what a God centered, God focused relationship should be. In telling my pastor that I am doing my best to "check off the boxes" Raiem has regarding certain expectations and desires for a wife; he turned to me and said my definition of love seemed "transactional". I then realized that this is how I learned to navigate my walk with God as well. I learned that love had to be earned not freely given. I believed that my actions and obedience gained me God's love. I felt so unworthy of God's kindness and grace towards me, that all my life I subconsciously used my abilities and efforts to feel worthy.Today and all my days moving forward, I am deciding to accept God's agape love for me and to show the same kind of unconditional love and respect to my fiance. Those who don't believe in God call them "moments of luck". As believers we know God to be in control of all things. He is our heavenly father, protector and covering. He proves himself to be good to us all of the time; yet somehow we still forget what is possible in Christ the moment new issues and struggles arise. How quickly we seem to forget all the small and BIG ways, God proves himself to be true and loving towards us. If God is righteous, is he not the same God yesterday as he is in the days to come? Prayers I've been saying for years that have finally been answered in the simple awareness I'm starting to see in my mom. Most of my life I prayed that my mom would be open to seeing and hearing the ways her actions or lack there of, have negatively affected me and my siblings. Recently she finally sat me down and told me everything I needed to hear, everything that God has been exposing to her about our family. In this episode I share some scientific information about the very real implications trauma during pregnancy has on the genetic effects of an unborn child. Studies show Epigenetic inheritance from maternal trauma is very real and even being studied across multiple generations. Not only have I seen this to be true first hand in my family but also open discussions with my mom have shown me aspects of myself that I wasn't aware had passed down from my mom, her mom and so forth. Spirit spoke to me about the need for prayer over familial bloodlines and how as children of God we need to command certain generational curses end with us! In order to make lasting change that effects generations to come in your family, it's important to to be aware of the ways negative mindsets that may be present in you and passed down from family members in the past. Because of God, no matter what generational darkness has existed in our family's, we can still be encouraged that epigenetic's and generational trauma are not predetermined in our lives. We think we know the word, we take the notes, we pray and we seek his presence so we also assume that we are fully right with God; however the moment a difficult life encounter comes up, suddenly we're reacting out of anger and pride, looking more like a representation of the world, than we do a representation of God and his love. This episode is for anyone who wants to choose wisdom, rather than ignorance. Who are we outside of our titles and What are the inner traits we carry? Are these qualities that we should be proud of, or qualities that God would be proud of?The importance of knowing ourselves deeply in this way, helps navigate our paths towards where we intend to go and where God intends for us to be. Until you look at self, you may not realize that the traits you have within are what's hindering your journey and your growth in life. Are you a giver? Are you prideful? Are you self centered? Are you jealous? Do you define your worth by your achievements? Do you have a savior complex? Do you feel the only way you will be valuable is if you give as much as you can to others? All of these questions can be difficult as we make the conscious decision to look at ourselves; but It is crucial for our development to not only know "Who We Are"; we must also ask the question "Why Am I This Way?" Spirit empathizes with our workload and our busy plates; this is why God instructs us to rest in him, so that he can take away our weariness and the heavy burdens we carry. Be encouraged today and know that my story and testimony is first hand proof, that life with God is so much better! In him we have rest, we have purpose and fulfillment. We have peace of mind and unconditional love like no other. God has brought me so much father then where I used to be. If you feel lost and overwhelmed in your current season of life, know that God see's you and he understands. His spiritual advice to us is to abandon what culture says about non stop productivity, and decide to choose a path of rest. Decide to lay our burdens on him and decide to let him make our lives so much better! If you believe but do not put any of the necessary actions behind your request than there is nothing God can do, except wait on you to move. If there is anything you have been praying for, I want you to know that God hears you. I'm happy to say that outside of the podcast life has been exceedingly amazing, more so than I could ever imagine before. This episode is about the struggle many overachievers face, battling thoughts of inadequacy. I discuss the feeling many of us get. The idea of not being enough, until certain goals are achieved and materialized. As I go deeper into these intrusive thoughts I notice this feeling of inadequacy really stems from a fear of "not becoming" the person you want to be. Rather than falling prey to these intrusive thoughts, understand that they do not come from God. What comes from God brings you peace of mind and comfort not inner chaos.I discuss my transition from living a life in the world to becoming set apart in Christ. I share my testimony in hopes that other women experiencing difficulty see just how amazing and transformative Gods love is when you accept Spirit into your heart. If listeners receive anything from this episode, I pray it's that they grasp how much God wants to show us MORE in life.  Spirit can take the furthest people from God and completely transform them, casting all the sins from their past away. In order to achieve the abundance God wants for us, we must first stop living on borrowed faith, stop being entitled to the things we want and start seeking a personal relationship with God. Unlike many christian content creators, my goal is not to be an authoritative voice that gives direction in a harsh way. My goal is not to bring people closer to God by using fear or hate tactics. I believe that the reason why The Divine has chosen to use me is because of my empathetic nature. I choose to bring people closer to Spirit through means of genuine love and understanding, and I do this by sharing my story, sharing my flaws/imperfections and showing this audience first hand, that God still loves me, he still chooses me and I believe his unconditional love is what will truly change the hearts of others. In this episode I break down how I define having codependent relationships and Idols above God and how to release them in order to go where The Divine seeks to take us. Spirit wants us to be completely dependent on him, not money, sex, relationships, alcohol or partying. In this episode I am honest about the times I've been frustrated with God and stopped speaking to him. I'm honest about the ways I had to learn to give up the things of my flesh in order to become closer to God. I hope from this audio, you gather that christianity is hard. God has called us to be more like him and this requires real painful transformation. But I also encourage people to choose his unconditional love anyways. It does not mean you wont experience trails in your life, but it does mean you will have the ultimate spiritual teammate helping you through every difficult transition and every step of life. It’s very personal to me but honestly I’m being obedient to Spirit and talking about all aspects of my life that I think will truly help the girlies.In this episode I express vulnerability about the toxic mindset I had towards dating and the many familial wounds I dated from subconsciously. I am open and honest about the lack of self love I had most of my life. I used to seek validation from being chosen by men and comparing myself with other women to see where I rank amongst them. My prayer is that this episode is encouragement for women to truly do the shadow work and look at self to see the ways they may be potentially self sabotaging. This episode is a declaration to women that manifestation is REAL and a reminder to all that Unconditional Love is your birthright! The message I truly want women to take away from this is that: You do not earn being treated well... My past has taught me that often my most anxiety inducing experiences resulted from refusing to surrender to The Divine. I was not truly living in alignment with the best version of myself. I was not living in alignment with the woman God has called me to be. Because this was my experience, I encourage any woman that struggles with anxiety to pray and speak to God. Ask him "in what areas does my life lack alignment?"Once we seek to be more self aware, looking within to see where and how we may be responsible for our own paid, we find spiritual awakening and healing. And even though combatting anxiety is a journey, it has helped in my own healing journey to repeat trust and embodiment affirmations to release anxious thoughts. Affirming who you are and who God says you are, not only transforms the mind but also opens the floodgates of manifestation and more abundance.
