Accidents do happen and sometimes we know how they occurred and sometimes we don't and in this case I (Karen) have no idea if it was because I tripped on my flip-flops, or extended my arm out and lost my balance or if something was on the ground that caused me to lose my footing. But whatever it was I ended up in the ER for 8+ hours and admitted to the hospital for 4 days and being released to go to Rehab to help bring functionality to my leg. I share with the listeners the care or minimal care I received in the hospital and the abundance of care I received in rehab. The underlining theme is that even though I am an independent thinking woman and not afraid to voice my thoughts having an advocate is extremely necessary despite the cause for treatment. Another set of ears, and eyes should be part of the healing and caring process.
