Carole Katz

Born in Reunion Island with parents from Madagascar, Carole grew up dancing to the beat of ballroom rhythms and singing to the melodies of French musicals. Loyal to the Tropic of Capricorn, Carole journeyed to Perth, Western Australia in pursuit of education and new horizons. Ironically, it’s when she’s the furthest away from home that she truly discovered and deep-dived into her native island music and dance, sega and maloya.
