Carved Stone

from L3DLP plays music sometimes · host L3DLP

Written at 16, becoming music at 46, Carved Stone is a song about power, class contempt, and the lonely feeling of trying to move a world that was shaped before you had a say. But it’s also about refusing to stay alone. --- When I think of those who reign, Those who claim they can decide our fate, Rulers of society's game, Choosing paths that they dictate. When I see the bourgeois pride, Pitying the poor with scornful eyes, Their contempt they cannot hide, As beggars they criticize. When I ponder all their wealth, Chic illusions that catch every gaze, Merely facades of stealthy stealth, Revealing their careless ways. Why must I stand alone, In shifting their carved stone? By myself, I can't dethrone The minds that turn to bone. How can we change this scene? Words alone can't intervene. If none will join the fray, Our causes fade away. We must unite, take a stand, To lend a truly helping hand. Enough of empty talk, Let's walk the walk of brotherhood's command.

But anyways, I hope you enjoy listening 💕💕 Wounded Warriors of the Cross Gary Pastoral and clergy mental health is a mostly ignored area, especially by those who live their lives as pastors in the clergy. The stigma of mental health within those who serve in the shadow of the cross is something that invokes the stigma of fear. Many of those in the clergy will choose to suffer in their despair rather than reaching out for help. Sometimes those suffering choose to wait until it's too late to get the real help that they need. At Wounded Warriors of the Cross our mission is to lift the stigma and the veil of silence that encompasses clergy mental health and assist those who suffer in silence. Wounded Warriors of the Cross is here to shed the light of Christ's love into those dark places.
