Send us Fan MailDear Listeners,January is Cervical Cancer Awareness Month and according to the International Agency for Research on Cancer - WHO, cervical cancer is mainly caused by persistent infection with HPV viruses. The good news is that it can be prevented and/or treated with HPV vaccination, screening and early detection. This year's aim for cervical cancer awareness is to "highlight the importance of increasing access to HPV vaccines, regular screening, and state-of-the-art treatment for cervical cancer in its early stages" (WHO EMR).
