Cesspool to Sanctuary — Holy Spirit @ Work (at Work) — Pentecost Sermon Series #2 | Pastor Georgia Hill @ Lifechurch Riverside Detroit

"You need to understand that before you open your mouth at work... you are stepping into enemy territory. You are the opposing camp, representing the kingdom of light confronting the kingdom of darkness."THE MESSAGEIn Part 2 of our "@ Work" series, Pastor Georgia Hill exposes the "religion of money" that dominates our modern workplace—a system of accumulation and acquisition that often views people as things. Drawing a chilling parallel to the 1807 "Slave Bible," which redacted stories of deliverance to ensure submission, we are reminded that the enemy still tries to edit our understanding of God’s power. However, as temples of the Holy Spirit, we are not in our jobs by accident; we are sent on a divine assignment. Whether in an office or, like the faithful pastor in a Chinese cesspool, in the most "despised" conditions, our presence turns every workplace into a potential sanctuary.A WORD FROM PASTOR GEORGIA"You were sent there by God. You didn’t just get to your workplace by accident... your assignment is to represent Him in incremental darkness.""We might have some junk in our temple. It might be time for spring cleaning... that process is uncomfortable, but I pray we will allow the Holy Spirit to do His work on the inside of us so that we can mature spiritually. We should not remain babies.""God can use what is despised. When people tell you you’re at the bottom, understand: God has chosen you. When people say you can’t do it, understand: God has chosen you. No flesh can glory in His presence."KEY SCRIPTURES📖 Joshua 24:15 "But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve... But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord."📖 Colossians 3:23-24 "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving."📖 Matthew 5:16 "In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."📖 1 Corinthians 6:19 "Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?"RESOURCES & NEXT STEPS✨ New Here?
