While Jesus, who had been invited to the house of a Pharisee, was eating, a certain woman came in with very costly fragrant oil and poured it on the feet of Jesus and kissed them. This woman was a woman notorious in that town. She was a woman so known as a sinner that everyone acknowledged it. That woman came and wet the feet of Jesus with her tears and washed them with the hair of her head, and poured on the fragrant oil.
