The life of faith is denying ourselves, whether we have done well or done poorly. The life of faith starts precisely from there. Our Lord said in this passage, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me” (Luke 9:23). In fact, the whole life of faith is contained in this word. The life of faith after receiving salvation is denying oneself and following the Lord.
