Mike Love of Coffee Labs introduced us to Amy Rothstein at the New York Coffee Festival. Suprisingly, Amy the founder of Dona Chai was not a big chai tea drinker prior to starting her successful Brooklyn-based company. She new she wanted to start a company that encompassed her love of food and passion for ingredients; however, many markets in the beverage industry had become saturated. Thats when she noticed a gap in the market...premium chai tea-based beverages. Amy took it one step further by acquiring single sourced spices which are carefully chosen from around the world.
