Challenges and Benefits of Different Models of Co-Teaching

In this conversation, Sara Viveiros discusses her research on co-teaching as part of her graduate work at the University of Pennsylvania's Graduate School of Education. She explores different models of co-teaching and their impact on student perceptions and performance. Sara found that students generally had positive feelings towards co-teaching, but they saw a difference between the roles of the content teacher and the special education teacher. Teachers expressed concerns about their confidence levels and the challenges of changing co-teachers. Sara plans to try out station teaching as a more effective model of co-teaching.
