Change forces change (Whole Lotta Love) Ike and Tina Turner

from DJ Alias Podcast · host Aaron McMickle

Change is a great thing for and artist. In recent years I have scheduled my time appropriately so that I could listen to, and process music in a way that would help me grow as a person and a music lover. After listening and processing I would begin to play around with music on the turntables, figure out what songs work together, and play some bass along with my favorite music to internalize it. Next step would be to create a mix, or a beat or some piece of music/writing to express what I have just learned. These steps not only fulfilled me artistically, but they helped to become a better DJ and a more knowledgeable music lover. A number of great things have come into my life that have forced me to change this routine. I do not have as much time to CREATE as I used to. It has been hard for me to adjust, but I realized I have to make the most of the time I do have even if it is not what I am used to. One thing that has not fallen off is my time to listen to music. I still listen to many styles of music extensively and with purpose. For the near future my podcast will feature simply the music that enters my life through my intense listening regime. (No worries I have plenty of unreleased mixes I will drop on you here and there) I still want to share music with you, and express my feelings on it. I hope you enjoy this temporary format, and that it enriches your life in some way. If you "listen close you'll hear what I'm about" Alias
