CHASING SHADOWS

Many believers create spiritual scorecards, measuring their relationship with God by religious activities rather than genuine transformation. Like the Colossian church, we often add rules and traditions to create a 'Jesus plus' faith that misses the heart of Christianity. We chase shadows—church attendance, spiritual dietary laws, calendar Christianity, and style preferences—instead of pursuing Jesus himself. True faith isn't about performance or earning God's favor through religious activities. Your walk with Christ is about your identity in Him, not your activity for Him. Stop chasing shadows and cling to the Savior, letting spiritual disciplines flow from love rather than obligation.
