David Kohl recalls his visit to Chateau Carbonnieux, a Grand Cru estate in Pessac Leognan appellation of Bordeaux, where he was greeted by owner Anthony Perrin who proudly displayed their prized 1784 letter from Thomas Jefferson proclaiming Chateau Corbonnieux as one of the finest vineyards he had visited during his role as Ambassador to France.
