Cherry Falls (1999)
from The Gory Gays · host Alex Marquez & Stanley Jacobus
Our “Love Hurts” month ends with the Geoffrey Wright-directed CHERRY FALLS (1999), which celebrates its 25th birthday this year (kind of — listen to the episode for more on that.) Brittany Murphy stars in this controversial and heavily tampered with slasher about a serial killer in a small town targeting virgins, causing the local teens to fight back and have a crazy sex party to get themselves off of the endangered list. Does it work? Has this aged well? It’s super horny, awkward, and semi-problematic — but what does it meeeeannn??? Listen to US as we slash up and bleed it out for you! Thanks for hanging out with this bloody month, and cheers to March Madness! Stay gory!
