Vous avez sans doute remarqué que dans les studios, qu'il s'agisse de radio, de production musicale ou de vidéo, le port du casque est très courant. En effet, les micros n'entendent pas comme nos oreilles aussi il n'est pas possible de se fier à notre ouïe seule pour vérifier l'enregistrement, il faut impérativement écouter le son venant de la caméra... d'où le casque. Alors que de plus en plus de photographes intègrent la vidéo à leur flux de travail, grâce à la percée des reflex et des hybrides vidéo, ce viseur pour les oreilles devrait s'imposer. Hélas, hormis les derniers modèles fort chers, comme le Nikon D800 la plupart des boîtiers sont dépourvus de sortie casque ! Que faire, quel casque choisir, pourquoi est-il vraiment indispensable ?
