The Triple Threat Leader: How Coaching, Banking, and Education Shaped his Vision.  My guest this week is Mr. Chris Burgio, President of the Concord Career College Campus in Southaven, MS. “Invest in someone’s future, and you’ll reap a lifetime of gratitude.” ~ Unknown This week’s guest started out his early life as an athlete and as he became an adult he wanted to give back to the community by becoming a coach for kids sports.  This early calling would ultimately lead him into a career that offered that same ability to invest in others to get the version of themselves. After being a banker for 13 years he suddenly took a hard shift in his occupation when the opportunity to become an educator was suggested to him.  Mr. Burgio admittedly states that teaching had never crossed his radar until a friend made the suggestion one day.  Before he knew it he was teaching at a Technical College and he found that love for helping others suddenly fulfilled again. We discuss how the college landscape has changed from years past and how gaining a certificate can offer a student an immediate pathway to gainful employment.  When it comes to trade jobs there are dozens of options that a person can go into.  Tune in to hear what some of those options are and some thoughts on what may be coming next for certificate programs.
