"Christ is our Core" (Mark 8:31-35) — Jeremiah Modino

This fall we're revisiting our cultural values as a church; "Christ is our Core," "Mission is our Mandate," "Family is our Foundation," "People are our Priority," and "Generosity is our Gift." Our cultural values are the lived-out expression of Christ in us as followers of Jesus. In this sermon, Pastor Jeremiah unpacks what our first cultural value is all about. Christ is our Core: We believe in the one true Triune God; the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus Christ of Nazareth is the Son of God, who lived a sinless and exemplary life—fully God and man, who died on a cross and rose again, thus defeating sin and death for the sins of humanity, reconciling us back into relationship with the Living God. We believe as followers of Jesus, we are to live according to the example and teachings of Jesus.
