As always, there’s no breakdowns, no analysis, it’s JUST. THE. SCORES. We’ll start with the men’s action where top-ranked Denver completed a sweep over Yale with a 5-1 win as Aiden Thompson scored twice, and No. 2 Boston College edged No. 10 St. Cloud State 2-1 on Gabe Perrault’s early third-period goal. Fourth-ranked Minnesota pulled off a 1-0 win over No. 18 Penn State with a late goal in the final minute by Jimmy Clark, improving the Gophers at 7-1. No. 11 Michigan earned a 5-4 overtime victory over No. 5 Boston University as Jackson Hallum notched a hat trick, including the game-winner, to sweep the Terriers. Ninth-ranked Cornell rallied to beat No. 6 North Dakota 5-3, scoring three times in the third period for the sweep. No. 7 Maine shut out Merrimack 6-0, led by Thomas Freel and Harrison Scott with two goals apiece. Eighth-ranked Colorado College dominated Air Force with four goals in the third to win 6-1 and stay unbeaten. No. 12 Providence blanked New Hampshire 3-0 with 43 saves from Zachary Borgiel, and No. 14 Quinnipiac defeated Holy Cross 4-0 as Travis Treloar scored twice. No. 15 Ohio State topped Lake Superior State 6-2, No. 16 Minnesota State edged Bemidji State 2-1, and No. 17 UMass outlasted American International 4-3. Wisconsin got its second win of the year in the form of a 2-1 win at No. 19 Notre Dame. In Atlantic Hockey America, Bentley defeated Sacred Heart 6-4, and Mercyhurst edged Niagara 4-3 in overtime. In the CCHA, Augustana took down St. Thomas 3-2, Bowling Green outscored Ferris State 5-4, and Michigan Tech powered past Northern Michigan 6-3. In Hockey East, Vermont beat UConn 1-0 in overtime.Other non-conference action saw Alaska tie Clarkson but take the shootout, same thing with Robert Morris, who tied Lindenwood, but also prevailed in the shootout. RPI squeezed by Miami 2-1 to finish off a sweep of the Redhawks. To the women, where top-ranked Wisconsin continued its undefeated streak, shutting out No. 8 St. Cloud State 4-0, with Laila Edwards netting her 13th goal of the season and Ava McNaughton making 29 saves. No. 2 Ohio State narrowly escaped St. Thomas with a 1-0 overtime win on Emma Peschel’s power-play goal just 21 seconds into the extra period. Third-ranked Minnesota downed Bemidji State 4-1, led by Abbey Murphy’s two power-play goals. Minnesota-Duluth and Minnesota State skated to a 3-3 tie, with the Bulldogs winning the shootout after a thrilling finish in the last two minutes of regulation. That shootout also went EIGHT rounds. In the ECAC, No. 5 Clarkson took down Princeton 6-3 behind two goals each from Sena Catterall and Anne Cherkowski. Sixth-ranked Colgate came from behind in the third to edge Union 4-3, with Kristyna Kaltounkova’s game-winner. No. 11 Quinnipiac defeated No. 7 St. Lawrence 3-1, with two goals from Jenna Donahue. No. 9 Cornell routed RPI 7-0 as Lindzi Avar recorded her first three goals of the year - up, the ol’ hat trick.
