College Hockey ScoreboardIt's the #CollegeHockey Scoreboard Show for October 22, 2024. Three games tonight - two on the women’s side with one game featuring a pair of ranked teams and just one game on the men’s side. Ladies first.Second-ranked Ohio State cruised past 15th-ranked Mercyhurst 5-1 . Jenna Buglioni and Jordyn Petrie both notched their eighth goals of the season, while Jocelyn Amos added her seventh. Goalie Amanda Thiele made history for Ohio State, securing her 58th career win to become the program’s all-time leader in victories. Yale came out firing in their season opener, rolling over St. Anselm 9-0. Eight different players scored for the Bulldogs, including two goals from Vita Poniatovskaia as they racked up 70 shots on net. On the men’s side, Canisius picked up its first win of the year, beating Mercyhurst 6-2 in a battle of schools that reside pretty close to Lake Erie - that’s for those of you who may be geographically challenged.
