Sent by the Celestials to eliminate the Deviants, the Eternals accomplished their mission in the 1500s. Without any Deviants to battle, they all kind of go their own ways. Now in the present, they discover that a new Celestial will be birthed out of the earth, like a bizarre Cadbury egg, but gooey with Celestial, god-like power! Oh, and it will totally destroy the Earth.
