Claiming luxury, celebrating diversity, and expressing gratitude- with Alex Bradberry, founder of The Sparkle Bar

from unreazon · host Kelcy Valletta

My guest this week is Alex Bradberry, founder of The Sparkle Bar, a Makeup + Beauty Studio located in Scottsdale, Arizona.  "At The Sparkle Bar we build confidence and celebrate diversity. So, why do we exist? We were really born out of necessity. We are, a global beauty movement and community for the Sparkle Babe who has ever felt like they didn’t necessarily match the “cultural norms” of beauty because they didn’t see themselves represented in the popular beauty campaigns, or represented in the range of foundations, or other implicit signs that feel exclusionary. We flipped that around to create a space that celebrates everything that makes you uniquely you and everyday we get to remind women (and men) on a daily basis through our virtual lessons online, and our in studio experience, that in spite of what society may have told you about what beauty looks like, that here at Sparkle, we see you and celebrate that."In this episode we talk about:[1:22] The first time she remembers feeling sexy[3:35] How beauty has influenced her life[4:55] Why Alex went from working in sales to opening her own beauty studio, and how diversity in beauty became her mission[10:08] SEXY[25:35] Where to connect with Alex and The Sparkle BarCONNECT WITH ALEX AND THE SPARKLE BARInstagram: @[email protected]                      CONNECT WITH KELCY AND FIND YOUR SEXY:www.findyoursexy.coInstagram: @kelcyvalletta
