Madame Queen has sabotaged Andy's wedding plans with Theresa Thompkins and has "waddled back into Andy's life." So has "Junior," the big, tough son of Madame Queen. Andy is schduled to marry both Theresa and Madame Queen!Followed by George Burns and Gracie Allen, originally broadcast December 16, 1940, 83 years ago, Gracie Writes a Play. Gracie is starting a newspaper and sings the lead in a play about it. She gets her star reporters (Burns, Hiestand and Shaw) smuggled into prison. Then Fibber McGee and Molly, originally broadcast December 16, 1941, 82 years ago, Fibber Cuts His Own Tree. Fibber has chopped down his own Christmas tree and "trims-it-to-size" himself. Followed by the Great Gildersleeve starring Harold Peary, originally broadcast December 16, 1945, 78 years ago, Night at the Opera. After the opera, Gildy runs through a little aria, "Evening Star."Finally Lum and Abner, originally broadcast December 16, 1941, 82 years ago, Lum forced to marry Gussie. Squire Skimp has a plan to put $20 bills in five loaves of bread each day to stimulate sales. Grandpappy Spears has his own ideas about the plan.
