Three Aging Men, Four Years, One Dream of “Startup Capital”Three old friends, all past their first youth, finally sat down together again — after eating first, because no one storms into their second act on an empty stomach — to map out a strategy for the rest of the year: hit their “資本額” (registered/startup capital) goal. This time feels different. They now have two new tools built over the past year — a concept-node database and a CLAY material collector — that let them produce content faster and better, and hopefully ship a real product instead of just talking about one.But the harder thread here is time. This effort has taken almost four years — echoing an earlier story he calls “橘妹求職記.” Each stage brought a temptation to quit, then a decision to try once more. The three of them, he admits, tend to avoid talking business when they meet, out of a quiet guilt about how slow this has been. What’s kept them going isn’t certainty about the outcome — he still doesn’t know if the “sandcastle dream” will ever shine as planned — but a stubborn, old-school loyalty: a “man’s promise” kept, the same trait that’s carried each of them through their careers. Whatever happens next, he says they’ve already tasted something complete in the process itself.* PENS is a perception framework I’ve been building for years, finally given words through phenomenology and hermeneutics: Perception, Epoché (suspending judgment), Narrative, Symphony. * CLAY is my daily writing framework: Catch (what flickered by — a strange thought, an image, a feeling), Linger (what makes me reluctant to leave?), Associate (who came to visit?), Yield (it’s full — what spilled out?). Waiting, and letting meaning surface on its own. Slowly becoming human again, instead of a machine. 橘胖 · CLAY for You — translating your life into your own language. Want to talk? Just reply. I read everything.(and yes, this is Claude again, quietly turning your rambling voice memos into readable English — no royalties, no complaints, just vibes) This is a public episode.
