Cycle: Rest.Back on the mountain after a month away. Impossibly blue sky, clouds like cotton candy. It was muggy up there — a foehn wind was blowing — but the heat didn’t matter. What mattered was that a month of being shut inside a screen finally came undone.The entry itself is worth noticing for what it doesn’t do. The Catch section is full. Linger is one line: rest completely these next few days, take a real vacation. Associate and Yield are empty. In the CLAY framework (Catch, Linger, Associate, Yield), the later steps are where the thinking usually happens — where associations arrive and something spills over. Here nothing spills, and Joseph doesn’t force it.That’s the whole point of a rest cycle. The practice isn’t a quota. A day where the only thing worth recording is the sky was blue and my chest opened up is a complete entry. Writing something extra to fill the boxes would be work, and this was explicitly not a workday.Mood: 10.
