Clemson’s 2026 Reset: QB Battle, Portal Additions & Dabo Pressure

Clemson football enters 2026 with more questions than usual, and Morgan Thomas breaks down the biggest storylines around the Tigers.   The conversation starts with the quarterback battle between Christopher Vizzina and Tait Reynolds. Vizzina appears to be in position to lead the offense, but Reynolds has made the competition real. Morgan explains why Clemson does not need its next quarterback to be a superstar right away. The Tigers need steady decision-making, consistency, and a quarterback who can run Chad Morris’ offense without forcing the issue.   The discussion also covers Dabo Swinney’s shift in the transfer portal. Clemson has added key pieces, especially on defense, including Elliott Washington II, Corey Myrick, Jerome Carter III, Vic Burley, and other roster additions aimed at fixing specific problems. Chris Johnson Jr. also gives Clemson another offensive piece to watch.   Morgan and Brian Smith also discuss the mood around Clemson’s fanbase after last year’s disappointing 7-6 season. The vibes are better, but the trust is not fully back. Clemson fans want to see proof that the portal additions, staff changes, and quarterback development can turn the program back toward ACC contention.   00:00 Clemson’s 2026 roster and Dabo Swinney’s approach 03:16 Christopher Vizzina, Tait Reynolds, and the QB battle 06:55 Chad Morris’ role in fixing Clemson’s offense 13:01 Defensive line concerns entering 2026 13:56 Dabo’s motivational tactics after 7-6 17:20 Clemson recruiting and transfer portal challenges 20:25 What would make 2026 a successful season? 23:33 How Clemson can build back into a winner 26:52 Dabo Swinney pressure and buyout discussion   Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!   KALSHI For a limited time, Download the Kalshi app and use code [LOCKEDON] to get $10 when you trade $10. .     The Game Don't miss this chance to celebrate 40 years of The Game with 40% off your entire order.
