Westminster Confession of Faith 5.2 “Although, in relation to the foreknowledge and decree of God, the first cause, all things come to pass immutably and infallibly: yet, by the same providence, He ordereth them to fall out, according to the nature of second causes, either necessarily, freely, or contingently.”   In this episode of Confessional Moments, Pastor Tim explores the rich and assuring doctrine of God’s providence as taught in WCF 5.2. We consider how God’s sovereign decree stands behind all things, and yet He works through real means—through necessary events, human choices, and daily circumstances. This truth is not abstract theology; it calls believers to trust the Lord, rejoice in His wise governance, and humbly submit to His will.
