Westminster Confession of Faith 10.3 “Elect infants, dying in infancy, are regenerated and saved by Christ through the Spirit, who worketh when, and where, and how He pleaseth. So also are all other elect persons who are incapable of being outwardly called by the ministry of the Word.” In this episode of Confessional Moments, we continue our study of Westminster Confession of Faith chapter 10 by considering the extraordinary work of God’s grace in those who are incapable of receiving the outward call of the gospel. The Confession teaches that while God ordinarily brings sinners to faith through the preaching of the Word, He is not bound to these means. Elect infants and others who are unable to hear or understand the gospel are nonetheless regenerated and saved by Christ through the sovereign work of the Holy Spirit.
