CO3 Ep. 66 | What's your attitude towards marriage?

from Cord of Three Podcast

This week Lisa and I talk about the five marriage mindsets people have towards marriage. This is from the SYMBIS assessment tool from Les and Leslie Parrot. We want your marriage to soar… But your attitude will determine your altitude! In our marriage coaching, we recently started using the SYMBIS (from Les and Leslie Parrot) tool to capture a clear snapshot of the couples we work with AND give them feedback on who they will be with for Jo the remainder of their lives.  This tool assesses your attitude towards marriage, your individual & relational well-being, your contexts (social support, finances, & expectations), & your dynamics.WHERE DID THE FIVE MINDSETS COME FROM?The SYMBIS research team interviewed more than 3,600 young adults (18-30), an equal number of men and women, spread evenly across the ages, and unpacked the following FIVE attitudes. Those five mindsets (or attitudes) and their MARRIAGE THEMES are:RESOLUTE — Divorce is not an option.RATIONAL — Marriage is hard work.ROMANTIC — We’ll live happily ever after.RESTLESS — I need more time.RELUCTANT — Why take the risk?If you are interested in taking the SYMBIS assessment and pursuing marriage coaching, please contact us at [email protected]: @cord_of_3 Hosted on Acast.
