On this episode of the Peristyle Podcasts hosts Ryan Abraham and Coach Harvey Hyde are back together giving their thoughts on the major moves the USC athletic department has been making with the coaching and personnel staffs. Over the past two seasons the Trojans have struggled to a 13-11 record so with these staff moves they hope is that head coach Lincoln Riley has all the help he needs to build a championship roster that can be coached up to make a run at the College Football Playoffs. The guys start off talking about the personnel side, with USC hiring away Notre Dame general manager Chad Bowden to come to Troy in the same role. Coach Hyde wants to know what his job description will entail and how much say he has over the roster working with Riley. Bowden also has some help coming with Zaire Turner hired as the new assistant AD of recruiting Operations and Dre Brown as the executive director of scouting and personnel. On the coaching staff side Coach Hyde gives his thoughts on USC keeping and extending defensive coordinator D'Anton Lynn, bringing in NFL veteran Rob Ryan as the assistant head coach for defense and linebackers coach, Chad Savage as tight ends and inside receivers coach and Trovon Reed as the new cornerbacks coach. The guys talk about how the new staff members will help the Trojans on the recruiting trail, especially in Southern California where USC has fallen short the past couple of classes.CLICK HERE for 60% OFF an annual VIP membership to USCFootball.com! Please review, rate and subscribe to the Peristyle Podcast on Apple Podcasts! Thanks to Trader Joe's for sponsoring the Peristyle Podcast!Make sure you check out USCFootball.com for complete coverage of this USC Trojan football team.
