It had been a pretty exciting weekI knew I was in the middle of something I’d remember foreverBut I also had busy days with little kidsAnd the days all kindof blended togetherAnd I hadn’t quite counted if it had been a full weekSo, the night after the equality lessonI tried to sit to meditate numerous timesBut my one year old had a feverAnd was up quite a bitBy the time he settledI was too exhausted to meditateAnd just went to bedChiding myself for blowing my final date with the divineSo the next evening, I went into meditationDripping with apology and self recriminationBut, finally, sittingAnd as my chime rung outAnd I hunched my shouldersIn it came,A final lesson, this time more of an impression:Check your math. You did the week. So, here’s your final message:Quit beating yourself up for what you think you did wrong.Often, that assessment is inaccurate.I went and checked my mathI had done the 7 nightsAll that energy I’d spent being angry at myselfDidn’t need to have happenedHow often I do thatHow often am I wrong?What a waste of energy!How might I better use that energy?I could think of a lot of waysBut, boy I had bad habitsI turn against myself in little bitsAll the timeI’d like not to do that anymoreBut I doAnd little by little, I continue to grow more conscious of itSee the grand ones and also the sneaky bitsHow to reprogram myself?All the other lessonsEach of them invite softeningAcceptingWith room for inspired actionAs well as releaseI’d received a bespoke guidebookDelivered directly into my heartWith a slow yet consistent unfoldingThat continues to invite meTo deeper levels of attunementTo currents that have existed eternallyAnd weave the fabric of lifeAnd every bit of alignment to themSoftens and strengthens my heartTo live where there is love This is a public episode.
