Always love having people support our drinking habit, and if you want to do that send us some cash via Venmo. Our handle is @guysatthebartalkingsports on Venmo. Introduction please! We will not be discussing Rishard Mendenhall’s comments, because a dude making an ignorant comment on Twitter is not news and should not be taken serious. End of story. We move on. Thoughts on UCLA’s coach Chip Kelly’s comments after their game about the current state of college football? ““It’s sad,” Chip Kelly said Friday before his team’s win the LA Bowl on Saturday. “The fact that there’s not going to be a Pac-12 next year, the fact that Washington State is not going to be [in] a conference next year, the fact that Oregon State is not going to be in a conference next year, we failed.”I think they’re all a problem and I think we need to have a Conference Commissioner. I think football should be separate from the other sports. Just the fact that our school is leaving to go to the Big 10 in football, our our softball team should be playing Arizona in softball. Our basketball team should be playing Arizona in basketball, but because football left and they say well, how do you do that? 1. Texas vs Washington - sugar bowl: If this ends up being a shootout I would not be surprised. Even with Texas’s strong defense, I have a feeling that Washington will be able to score. Washington has proven twice that that can slow down an extremely dynamic offense, after beating Oregon 2 times. Texas has Quin Ewers who can sling the ball, and a running game that has been very strong all season. No one wanted to play Michigan or Alabama, but these two teams should be ready to fight. Who is the better team in this match up? 2. Michigan vs Alabama - Rose Bowl- Michigan has a slight edge right now according to Vegas odds, but I think we were all surprised that this Alabama team has come together so well behind Jaylen Milroe. This Michigan defense has not faced a QB who can be a weapon with his feet yet, and that’s exactly who they are facing next week. Alabama has the edge on that. But this Michigan Defense has been insane all season. it will be hard for Alabama to score. As for JJ McCarthy, will he be able to take a break with his arm and trust in the running game Afro 4 quarters? Probably not. He’s gonna have to use that arm, and get the ball into the hands of his receivers to win on that side of the ball. 3. Florida State vs Georgia - Orange Bowl: some are calling this the National Championship game. Both teams are seeing the backups leave for the portal. Some say this game may not be played by some of the key players. Brock Bowers is likely not playing. Carson beck is coming back,so he’ll play. They were not slowed down without Bowers when he was out. I think Georgia has the edge, but Florida State has a chip on their shoulder and a lot to prove. 4. #7 Ohio State vs #9 Mizzu - Cotton Bowl 5. #10 Penn State vs #11 ole Miss - Peach Bowl 6. #8 Oregon vs #23 Liberty- Fiesta Bowl What Da Fu- SEC had terrible representation right now in men’s College basketball. 2 teams in the top 25. First team #12 Tennessee and Kentucky. Last Call: What is your favorite Christmas gift you ever received in your life?
