2025 SEC Preview
www.guysatthebartalkingsports.comFollow us on Facebook1. Which SEC coaches are on the hottest seat?2. New Section of the show called: State your case! And defend it as we critique it.1. Texas- Sarkisian has the highest expectations going into 2025. They’ve been in the playoff for the last 2 seasons. With Quinn Ewers gone, the team is now in the hands of Arch Manning. 4 starters on the offensive line need to be replaced. Can they protect Manning?2. Georgia- the days of Georgia just reloading may have passed, but they are still highly regarded this season despite only returning 7 starters. Gunner Stockton replaces Carson Beck.3. LSU- Brian Kelly has a lot riding on this season. They have been good but not great since he came from Notre Dame. Quarterback Garrett Nussmeier passed on the NFL for one more season in Baton Rouge. After throwing for 4,052 yards and 29 touchdowns last year, Nussmeier ranks among the top QB’s in the nation. Brian Kelly hit the portal hard, picking up receivers, and some key defensive players. 4. Alabama- Year 2 for Kalen DeBoer. Ty Simpson, Austin Mack, and Keelon Russell battle for the QB position. Alabama is ok everywhere else both defensively and offensively. DeBoer has high expectations this season, and he’ll be expected to make the playoff.5. Florida- Billy Napier saved his job last season with a strong finish to what looked like a washed up season in Sept. DJ Lagway is anticipated to be one of the best QB’s in the Nation. Additionally he was a veteran crew around him at the receiver position, running back, and one of the best offensive offensive lines in the SEC. Defense, especially at the Corner position is going to remain a question mark. They do have 5 returning starters in defense.6. South Carolina- after going 9-3 last season, the gamecocks are going to have high expectations for Shane Beamer. They do have Lenoris Sellers returning, and he is a game changer. 7. Ole Miss has won 10 games for 3 of the last 4 years. Jaxon Dart will be missed, but Lane Kiffin is also missing a lot of production on both sides of the ball. He has a top portal class though, and hopes to hit the ground running with some veteran players. Austin Simmons will be the QB.8. Texas A&M- Mike Elko will go into his second season needing to make a mark. Marcel Reed leads the team at QB. He showed promise last season, but was #11 in the SEC. They have the most returning starters in the SEC, so matching last years 8-5 may be underestimating them. 9. Oklahoma- Brent Venables is on the hottest seat in the SEC right now. This team can stand out, and has the potential to make a run…. But we say that every year. John Mateer from Washington state will be the qb. Defense will be fine, it’s the offense that needs to step up to win games.10. Tennessee- Joey Aguilar from App State will lead Josh Heupels offense. They are anticipated to have a strong defense this season.11. Auburn- May be the sleeper this season. Hugh Freeze had a team last season that beat themselves game after game last year. Clean that up, and they make the playoffs. They have a strong recruiting class both from high school and from the transport portal.12. Missouri- Beau Pribula and Sam Horne will fight for the qb spot. This is a team last season that was dominant, although their schedule was one of the easiest in the country. That’ll be the same this season. They returned seven starters on defense, so it should be hard to score against them. This might help the fact that they may have some challenges on offense.13. Arkansas-Sam Pittman is looking to beat his seven and six record from last season..14. Vanderbilt- .15. Kentucky- Mark Stoops is likely a candidate for the hot seat right now. Yes he’s had some great seasons in the past, but it seems like they’re moving downhill. They did not have a very good16. Mississippi State- anticipated be the worst team in the SEC,. .

Ohio State’s National Championship Season in 2024
Unpacking the National Championship run the 2024 Buckeyes had. What led up to it? What happened in the pre-season, during the season, and the first 12 team playoff run they had to win the National Championship Game in January 2025.Did Ryan Day inspire his team to toughness? The March Madness week 1 show and we look at week 2…. Sweet 16? Who makes the Elite 8?Follow us on Facebook, TikTok, Instagramwww. Guysatthebartalkingsports.com5:34 Explain the WVU controversy. Why didn’t they get in and why should they be in? Last week’s games. Any that stick out as really exciting? Arkansas beating St John’s, Michigan has made it further than I’d thought, played UCSD and then TAMU. Teams you thought would definitely make it past the first weekend, but did not? Teams who are in the Sweet 16 but you thought would never make it? Arkansas and Michigan, BYU. Ole Miss Legendary Picks: The Legend is likely the number 1 5U player in South Carolina BYW. 2 Home Runs and a Triple. Batting 1000 last night. His parents tell me to Tennessee Vols recruiters are hard to keep away from the fields right now. Sweet 16 games: 6BYU vs 2Alabama- Thursday at 7pm- i refuse to just give this one to Alabama. BYU has beat some fairly solid teams including Iowa State back when they were healthy. 4Maryland vs 1Florida- Thursday at 7:40- Maryland was the 2 seed in the Big 10 tournament. Solid wins all season including beating Illinois by 20 points. They actually did that 2 times this season to them. 4Arizona vs 1 Duke- Thursday 9:40- Duke has a tough road game ahead of them. Duke is playing the best of the 1 seeds right now, but with a week off, we’ll see if they are still hot. Caleb Love from Arizona as a beast. Put up 29 points against Oregon. Tyrese Proctor and Cooper Flagg will be ready for them. I think Flagg is healthy also. 10 Arkansas vs 3 Texas Tech: Thursday 10:10- Arkansas is on a roll. but I think their roll stops at the Sweet 16. They have not shown they can be consistent all season. Texas Tech is the better team in my opinion. 6 Ole Miss vs 2 Michigan State- Friday at 7 3 Kentucky vs 2 Tennessee- 7:40 5 Michigan vs 1 Auburn 4 Purdue vs 1 Houston Likely E8 match up Auburn vs Michigan State? Debo Samuel traded from the 49ers to Washington for a 5th round pick3. Travis Kelsey will likely play another season4. Saquon Barkley signed a 2 year deal 41.2. 5. Anthony Richardson will be competing next season with someone (draft or free agent) for the starting job in Indianapolis.6. Shedeur Sanders didn’t participate in the combine but was basically there for moral support for a few of his teammates. I just don’t know about this guy. It really bothers me the sense of entitlement he has.7. Expectations are high for Bill Belichick at UNC… do you think expectations should be tempered a bit? Also, he has his son as the DC….. I am not convinced pedigree makes for good coaches… think Spurrier, and Bowden. Could be a mistake? 8. Auburn gets No. 4 overall (Eric Singleton), No. 9 (Xavier Chaplin) and No. 28 (Horatio Fields) transfers according to 247Sports. Singleton, the former Georgia Tech receiver, is the crown jewel of the No. 8 transfer class but Oklahoma transfer quarterback Jackson Arnold is the most important.9. Betting odds right now, the only teams that are showing an over under of 10.5 wins are Ohio State, Oregon, Penn State and Notre Dame. Notice the lack of SEC, Big12 and ACC. It shows a very top heavy conference.10. NFL Free Agents at QB: Russell Wilson, age 36; Jameis Winston, Age 31; Justin Fields, age 26; Sam Darnold, age 28; Jimmy Garoppolo, age 33; 11. Atlantic Sun, Sun Belt, Horizon League, Patriot League, Northeast, Ohio Valley, Big South, Missouri Valley, West Coast, CAA, Southern, all these lower conference have their tournaments with big stakes pitting them into the Brackets. 12. Who to watch out for in this group? Virginia Commonwealth University, 24-5. When they win, they win by 20+; UC San Diego, 26-4 wins by 20+. Drake, Missouri Valley, beat Miami, Kansas State, Vanderbilt. 27-3. 13. All SEC Final 4? Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, Auburn? Is this possible?14. Does the NBA just not care about Defense? I don’t remember watching NBA games in the 90’s and 2000’s games regularly going to 130+ points.

NFL Combine and College Basketball!
1. College football Teams are skipping Spring Games. Why? Nebraska’s Matt Rhule said you don’t give away info for free, and that’s what the spring game does. Said they’ll be doing something special for the fans but no spring game. A lot of programs are opting out of this tradition.2. Last week the Big10 and SEC Commissioners met together. No other conference, no other NCAA Playoff committee members. Just them… they discussed autobids for conference champions. They want top 4 committee ranked teams to get 1st round bye. Confrence champs do get an Automatic entry into the playoff. They wield power. How much?3. In 14 team field they want 4 autobids for Big10 and SEC and 2 for ACC and Big12. 4. NFL Combind starts Thursday and goes through Sunday in Indianapolis. A chance to show off their skills. What are scouts looking for?5. Ashton Genty is the highest graded participant. He might be the overall first round pick? Anyone think differently?6. Obviously Cam Ward and Shedur Sandars and Jaxson Dart, Quin Ewers top the list for QB’s. I’m looking forward to seeing these guys next to each other. 7. Also gotta look out for Jalen Milroe, Kyle McCord, Dillon Gabriel, and Will Howard. 8. Which other players are at the combine? Running backs, receivers, etc. 9. Auburn final 4 games of the season: vs Ole Miss, 17. Kentucky, 12. Texas A&M and 6 Alabama, all in top 2510. Florida final 4 games: Georgia, 12 Texas A&M, 6 Alabama, Ole Miss. 11. Duke final 4 games: Miami, FSU, Wake Forest, UNC12. Alabama final 4 games: 24 Ms State, 5 Tennessee, 2 Florida, 1 Auburn13. Houston- Cincinnati, Kansas, Baylor14. Tennessee- LSU, 6 Alabama, Ole Miss, South Carolina15. Don’t sleep on St John’s: butler, seton hall,21 Marquette 16. Listener Questions; 1. Is the SEC now a basketball conference? 17. Why has UConn fallen out of top 25? 18-9 (No big fighter under the rim… last year they had Donavan Clingan and the year before, Adama Sanogo dominated. The big guy, Samson Johnson is 6-10 225 lbs and only averages 3.1 rebounds per game.Dan Hurley.18. What happened to Kansas?coach Bill Self record: 2019-919. Who will win player of the year? A freshman or a senior- first true freshman since Zion William: Cooper Flag? 20. Is Hubert Davis on the hot seat at UNC? 18-11 4th season, lost in the ACC tournament last year to NC State, and then made it to the sweat 16. 21. If Gators Win out, should they be #1? What has happened to the ACC?22. What’s changed that 5 of the top 10 teams are SEC teams and they anticipate a record number of SEC teams to make the tournament 23. All 31 Conferences hold a playoff. The winner gets an automatic bid to the tournament. 24. South Carolina is 1-13 in conference play. Lamonte Paris has lost his team. Is he fired at the end of the season?25. Chiefs and Eagles are Heading to the Super Bowl
Follow our podcast, Facebook Page, join our Facebook Group! All info found atwww.guysatthebartalkingsports.comSupport us? Please Venmo: @guysatthebartalkingsportsThank you!Today we talk about:5.261. Recap Eagles vs Commanders; 55-23:lead up the this game we did have mixed emotions on the outcome. Most of us thought it was not gonna be a blowout. One person did. The line was 7.5 so even Vegas thought it would be close. Going into half time it was not out of control. 27-15. Still close enough to make some changes in the locker room, come out and win. It got out of control from there. 3 fumbles, 1 interception, a messy game. Eagles defense pretty much forced them into the air, Commanders had 99 yards on the ground. Saquon Barkley seemed unstoppable for the eagles, A.J. Brown had an excellent game receiving, 16 yards per reception, 96 yards. 2. Gotta give Jayden Daniels credit though For an exceptional rookie season. Is he only the second rookie QB to win 2 playoff games? vegas3. Recap Bills vs Chiefs 32-29- as expected by us all and the odds makers, this game lived up to the hype. Did anyone else feel like the Bills were just on their heals the whole time? They were beat up on defense and you could tell. No pass rush, coaches played very safe on defense. Rarely braking in to get to Mahomes. They were completely dependent upon offense, which in some situations had some challenges, especially in short yard situations. Arguments are being made about the spotting on a 4th and inches early in the 4th quarter when Josh Allen was in a sort of tush push situation. Also the previous play a 3rd and 3 may have been a first down. Both teams statistically were even on total yards, running yards, passing yards, time of possession, nearly identical.4. General Super Bowl conversation (not to much detail since we’ll discuss more next week) so we have the Super Bowl in New Orleans with the Eagles facing the Chiefs. What are your initial thoughts on the matchup? Chiefs are a 1.5 point favorite.5. Can Kansas City sustain this dynasty they have built? It’s not just mahomes, it’s the defense, the offense does what it needs to do. 6. I’ve noticed NfL teams more often lately will go for it on 4th down rather than go for a field goal. I understand the analytics BS, but do you think when a team drives down the field and gets to the 10 yard line, getting those 3 points is a moral victory on that drive, and adds mental value to the offense, rather than missing a 4th down conversion, which ads to a negative morale?7. What NFL team surprised you most this season? I thought for sure the Bengals would be a contender this season. Joe Burroughs was healthy, he had a hell of a season, but the team did not. Is he gonna be the next Dan Morino?8. Jim Harbaugh left Michigan and went to the chargers. He went 11-6 and was in the playoffs this season. Rate his first year, would the chargers have had a similar record under any other coach? 5-12 last season9. Do you like the new kick off rules? 10. Are we watching the probowl flag football game? Laughable. 11. College basketball topics: big games this week. Tennessee has a gauntlet week coming up, Vs Kentucky and then a rematch vs Florida. 12. Alabama is coming up on 7 games in a row, to close out their season playing top 20 opponents. Auburn 2x Florida, Tennessee, Miss State, Missouri, Kentucky, 13. XFL coming soon after merging into the UFL Is anyone going to be watching this? Looks like they have the major networks queued up to give them network air time. Games will be prime time on Friday night.

Join Guys at the Bar Talking Sports Facebook group! Also follow us on TikTokwww.guysatthebartalkingsports.com1. National Championship game Recap- 10 minute first drive. Just destroyed the clock. ND seemed to have OSU’s playbook on that drive. Riley Lenard showed he was ready to play. OSU answers with a TD in the second drive that lasted into the second quarter. And then 2 more in the half. Will Howard was 14/15 in the first half. ND could not move the ball the rest of the first half. After ND scored in the 3rd quarter, and then recovered a fumble early in the 4th I thought they might mount a comeback. Jeremiah Smith just blows my mind how good he is as a freshman. With 29 seconds left Ohio State kicks field goal to seal the win, and go up 11 points.2. Were you happy with the way the playoffs went down? 3. First National Championship Game of the 12 Team Playoff Era!
Follow us on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok www.guysatthebartalkingsports.comSubscribe today! Final 4 was the best of the games in the playoffs so far.Ohio State beats Texas- 28-14Watching this game it seemed that OSU had all the control in the first quarter, but Texas figured defense, and were able to limit the big plays. 1. Should Texas have played arch manning more?Notre Dame beats Penn State- 27-24 I think Penn State sort of controlled things in this game defensively. They led 10-3 going into the half. Notre Dame threw 2 interceptions. It was not looking good for Notre Dame at half time. Riley Leonard was able to put things together in the second half though. Tying the game in the 3rd . 4th quarter both teams were doing great. I don’t think Penn state fans can be pissed. They played great football. Marcus Freeman and the Figjting Irish just played better.Let’s discuss the upcoming National Championship game:1. Notre Dame vs Ohio State at Mercedes Benz stadium in Atlanta.Huge game, I think we have two very good teams. Ohio State is beatable. They lost to Oregon and Michigan. Notre Dame seems to be consistent on both sides of the ball. Capitalizing on mistakes. NFL Games:1. Texans beat Chargers 32-12- 429 yards vs 261 yards and Chargers only had 50 yards rushing. CJ stroud was looking good, with 282 yards through the air. 2. Ravens beat Steelers 28-14: first of all, is Russell Wilson going to retire? 36 years old. Is he in the right place to go out on a high note? Derrick Henry ran for 186 yards. This offense in Baltimore is fun to watch. Lamar Jackson can take off at any time. And you have a hell of a weapon behind him. 3. Broncos lose to Bills- 31-7- they just got their buts kicked honestly. For a guy who had a record rookie season, Bo Nix just did not connect in this game. Josh Allen had a great game. The Bills Defense played great football. 4. 5. Vikings lose Rams 27-9 - 9 sacks on Sam Darnald against the rams. He had 2 bad weeks, where does he end up?NFL Divisional Round:Chiefs vs Texans- Bills Vs Ravens-Commanders at Lions-Rams vs Eagles- are the rams a team that can beat the Eagles? What are the keys to this game for the Rams?

Texas just fell apart 2nd and 3rd quarter. Even the 4th. They beat Arizona State by luck in my opinion. 5. Ohio State beats Oregon bad. By 20 points. OSU puts up 34 points in the first half. Oregon was just dominated by OSU’s defense, and OSU’s offense looked like they were playing against a high school team in the first half. What was the huge difference between last time they played and this game? 6. Notre Dame beats Georgia 23-10. It was a slow start for both teams, but as I said last week, the complete unknown is the QB situation, and Gunner Stockton did not get the protection he needed to be effective. Notre dame Defense was just all over him. Offense on both sides was slow moving. Few big plays, but Notre Dame pulled ahead and the Defense kept them from having to work to hard. New Years Resolutions for Teams/Coaches etc:1. Alabama’s New Year’s Resolution 2. Questions:1. The first question we have to ask is: does that first round bi really become such a hinderance to success? It seems it does.2. Is the SEC down this season?3. How can the NCAA rein in NIL?4. College Football Quarterfinal!!! Who Wins!
www.guysatthebartalkingsports.comSomething has to change about these bowl games. They can’t be watered down, like they seem to be the last several years with opt outs and transfers leaving teams. Let’s discuss.1. Best bowl games last week-Vanderbilt beats Georgia Tech- 35-27. Diego Pavia is just a hustler. So is Haynes king, but this game was a challenge to see which hustler QB can rally the team for the win. -ACC teams lose bowl games 1-9- what a terrible thing for the ACC. -Oklahoma loses to Navy 21-20-USC beat Texas A&M 35-31-UConn beats UNC 27-14-Pinstripe Bowl, Nebraska vs Boston college was the dirtiest game I’ve seen in years. It was muddy mess-Colorado gets destroyed by BYU. 36-14. Shader Sandars was being attached by that BYU defense. 2 yards rushing…. I expected a fun game throwing the ball all over the field. But the only thing we say was Colorado getting whooped.Questions for the week1. Most warm coaching seats going into the 2025 season? Brent Venables, Lincoln Riley, both have top 20 recruiting classes. Obviously FSU coach Mike Norvell2. Any programs we should keep an eye on for 2025 that can make an impact? Keep an eye on Michigan next year, a young team this year, signature win against OSU, top 10 recruiting class. South Carolina, Auburn and Florida. Georgia Tech is in the top 20 recruiting class….Playoff Quarter Finals1. The Fiesta Bowl: Penn State vs Boise State- Chance to Play Georgia or Notre Dame. is Penn State gonna have a tougher time against Boise State than they did against SMU? Penn State has best Rush Defense of the 8 teams remaining. Ashton Jeanty will face the toughest challenge to his ability to get breakaway plays. 2. The Peach Bowl: Texas vs Arizona State- Texas is Favored by 13 points so clearly the odds makers are thinking Texas will come out strong. Quinn Ewers should be confident in this game. But his confidence seems up and down. I would not doubt freshman Sam Leavitt’s ability to make big passes to Jordon Tyson. They also have a fairly solid rusher. The depth will be an issue. Texas beats them in depth. 3. Rose Bowl: Ohio State vs Oregon - How is Ohio state gonna come out this game? Oregon we know who they’ll be, Dan Lanning’s team is consistent on both sides of the ball well coached. Strong offense with the big game changing plays. While Ohio state can show weaknesses at times. If OSU plays well they stay in the game, like they did last time these two faced each other. 31-32 last time these teams faced each other. Dillon Gabriel and Will Howard had excellent games. 4. Sugar Bowl: Notre Dame vs Georgia - Georgia is only a 1.5 point favorite. 45 points expected. So 23-22? 24-21? Keys to Georgia winning? Gunner Stockton does not get shut down early so he builds confidence. Trevor Etien runs efficiently with others coming in doing the same. Georgia defense stands up against the Notre Dame run game. Notre Dame has starting QB Riley Leonard on their side. Lots of experience, and will perform well. Jeremia Love at running back will need to be stopped. NFL: NFL topic, Saquon Barkley needs like 100 yards to break Eric Dickerson’s single season rushing record. Do they sit him and save him for the playoffs in their final game or let him go for the record?NFL Rookie of the Year: Jayden Daniels- CommandersBrock Bowers- RaidersBo Nix- Denver

Guys at the Bar Talking Sports season 5 Episode 21Follow us at: guysatthebartalkingsports.comSupport the show through Venmo: @guysatthebartalkingsportsFacebook: Guys At The Bar Talking Sports Todays show topics:Court ruling over Vanderbilt QB Diego Pavia lawsuit to get another year of eligibility. He was at a Junior College and the ruling may mean that Junior college students can come to a 4 year school with 4 years of eligibility. Filed as an antitrust suit against the NCAA. Should the NCAA be able to create and enforce its own rules?Round 1 Playoff Games:1. Notre Dame Dominates Indiana. Indiana could not move the ball for the life of them. Kurtis Rourke could not find an open receiver. Was in his heels the entire game, and could not run the ball at all. Gotta hand it to Notre Dame’s defense. 17-3 going into half. Notre Dame did lay down in the 4th quarter, giving up 14 points, but to little to late for Indiana.2. Penn state Routes SMU 38-10- 28-0 at one point. Ever CFB fan in America seemed to be up in arms at the performances of SMU. Clearly outmatched. Penn State’s defense had 3 interceptions in the first half. pSU only passed for 136 yards, but 3 interceptions is tough to come back from. Yards, time of possession and plays were not lopsided. The score obviously was. 3. Texas Beats Clemson- 38-24: best game of the weekend. The only competitive matchup. Klubnick passed for 336 yards. Solid performance. The difference was rushing yards. 76-292. The better QB was not Ewers, but Texas was able to shut down the running game of Clemson making them 1 dimensional. 4. Ohio State beats Tennessee- 42-17- most lopsided game, and I thought this game was gonna be the best of the 4. Nico Alphabet was shut down, 104 yards passing, 0 TD’s. Tennessee had no rushing attack. Ohio’s states defense just owned Josh Heupel’s offense. Will Howard threw for 311 yards. Both offense and defense were playing spectacular football, and Tennessee had no answer for them.Question: Which Teams would have put up a better fight in the playoffs? Question: next season Tennessee, SMU, Clemson, and Indiana will have a chance to compete for a playoff spot, will any of them be back?Too many teams in the playoff, or the wrong formula for selecting the teams?Where there any other bowl games that you really enjoyed watching so far? This Week’s Games:1. Georgia Tech vs Vanderbilt in the Birmingham Bowl2. Syracuse vs Washington State in the Holiday Bowl, is Kyle McCord playing? 3. Heisman Reactions2. Army Navy Game- Navy beats Army 31-133. Does anyone like these smaller bowl games like South Alabama vs Western Michigan? What is their purpose?4. Does anyone think Deion Sanders stays around at Colorado much longer? His value has gone up this season.5. Who do y’all think will be the Top 2-3 Draft picks this season? 1. Cam Ward, 2. Shedeur Sanders, 3. Travis Hunter are the betting odds favorites. Tetairo McMillan at Arizona is my first pick if I need a receiver. 1300+ yards 2 seasons in a row. 6. What is the thought around the table of Bill Belichick’s hiring at UNC? 20 million nil fund?7. Marshall Opting out of the Independence bowl against Army, replaced by Louisiana Tech. This was due to them losing to many players to the portal.8. There are reports that players like Carson Beck and Quinn Ewers are considering forgoing the NFL draft to go play at other schools for huge amounts of money and to improve their draft stock next year. There was a time when these players, consider Anthony Richardson instance, left with 2 years of eligibility because nfl money is tempting. But to make similar money in college keeps them around.9. Arizona State5. Texas6. Penn State7. Notre dame 8. Ohio State9. Tennessee 10. Indiana11. SMU12. ClemsonQuestion: case for Alabama? Why didn’t the committee go down this road?6 conference championship games1. Army Beats Tulane: 35-14: is there a case for Army to have made the playoff?2. Boise State beats UNLV: 21-7: Looking at this game I anticipated a Boise State win. I did not anticipate UNLV only scoring seven.3. Arizona State beats Iowa State: 45-19- Iowa State got off to a good start but then just completely got trampled by Arizona State Russell game. I think Arizona State wanted to make a statement though that they need to be the force it and they certainly did4. Georgia beats Texas 22-19 in overtime- Texas defense dominated in the first half. But also Georgia’s defense was not half bad either. First half score 6-3. Texas was able to move the ball, it’s the red zone that got them. Also 2 missed field goals. After Carson beck goes down in the before the half, gunner Stockton comes in for the second half. He changed the pace of the game. Georgia dominated the 3rd quarter. 10-0. Texas got traction 4th quater out scoring Georgia 10-3, sending it to overtime.5. Oregon beats Penn State 45-37- I truly thought the momentum was going towards Penn State about halfway through the third quarter, but Oregon had all of the momentum leading up to that point and pretty much the rest of the game for about 10 minutes on. Penn State just kept looking like they were going to figure out how to come back and then just defensively they could not hold off against that Oregon offense.6. Clemson beat SMU- 34-31- Amanda Clemson just walked these guys in the very beginning of the game going up 21 points right off the bat but SMU slowly made that comeback tie in the game 31 to 31 of the end of it game. All the luck in the world Clemson managed to get into field goal range and win.Heisman FinalistsAshton Jeanty- 2497 yards. Travis Hunter- snaps? 1152 yards receiving. Cam Ward- 4123 yard, 36 TD’s QBR of 88 #1Dillon Gabriel- 3558, 28 TD, QBR-86 #2I think Kyle McCord got robbed. The stats on this guy were insane: 4326 yards passing, #1 , 29 TD’s. 4th , and yes he has 12 interceptions, but he led Syracuse to a respectable 9-3 season. Beating Miami, and Cam Ward on all fronts yet Cam Ward is there because of what? He plays for Miami?Army Navy Game? Both offenses are exceptional in the option run game. Navy comes into their game the clear underdog having 3 losses. Army’s only loss is to Notre dame so this game will favor army, but it is a rivalry. Anything can happen. Army beat Tulane while navy go blown out by Tulane. Both teams struggled against Notre DameArmy has rushed for 3773 yards on 661 attemptsNavy has rushed for 2721 yards on 506 attemptsWhat do you think about these bowl matchups?Carolina vs Illinois Florida vs TulaneOklahoma and NavyGeorgia Tech and Vanderbilt Alabama and MichiganQuestions?

College Football Conference Championship Weekend!
Last Week’s Games:1. Boise State beats Oregon State: does this win or almost any of Boise States wins really cause you to think they deserve not only the the group of 5 spot but also a top 12 spot? 2. Georgia vs Georgia tech: Georgia beat Georgia Tech in 8 overtime’s! Georgia tech took the lead early in the second game but Georgia came back in the 2nd half. 44-423. Michigan beats Ohio State- 13-10…. What happened?4. 15 South Carolina beats 12 Clemson - 5. Syracuse beats #6 Miami, ending their chances for the ACC Championship- 42-38Reaction:1. Oregon2. Texas3. Should this be discouraged?2. I’m feeling good an about the conferences having no divisions now. Thoughts?3. Should the committee take into account recent play more than early season game play?A few Notable Coaching Changes coming:1. UNC- fired Mack Brown- 73 years old. Second time as head coach. 2. Gus Malzahn- 4-8 for the season, he did not get fired though, he’s heading up to Tallahassee.3. Ryan Walters-Purdue fired him. This is a team you expect an upset from every so often, but the expectations are not Big 10 championships. 4. Neal Brown- West Virginia5. Any more firings coming soon? Mississippi State, Kentucky? College Football Week 14, Rivalry Week!!!
Week 14 College Football Last week’s games:1. #9 Ole Miss loses to Florida- 24-17- first big upset of the weekend. Florida was not exactly in control the entire game, but you could see that on offense and defense they came to play. They took advantage of a muffed punt return, and several of lane Kiffins signature 4th and short situations to win the field position game. In tell you what, the confidence that the gators play with when DJ Lagway is in the game is night and day difference. The look on the face of Jaxson Dart, realizing his chances at a playoff spot were pretty much over. 2. #5 Indiana gets ruined by #2 Ohio State- 38-15- Ryan Day vs curt Cigneti. OSU only had 316 yards total. Offensively they were not just destroying Indiana. They did hold Kurtis Rourke to 68 yards passing, and Indiana to 83 yards rushing. 3. #4 Penn State scrapes by Minnesota- 26-25- this team being number 4 in the country seems line a joke. They are not on fire but they do keep winning. If it weren’t for a couple turnovers Minnesota would have pulled this off the win.4. Kansas Beats #16 Colorado- 37-21- Colorado is not the new Georgia. Not sure if Deion really said that, but it’s not true. Kansas has found their footing late in the season, taking out the two best teams in the Big12 the last 2 weeks. 5. #21 Arizona State beat #14 BYU- 28-23- we all predicted this game was gonna be an ASU win. BYU only scored 3 points in the first half. They would probably have won this game if they did not have 2 interceptions. 6. Auburn beats #15 Texas A&M-43-41- 3 overtime’s for this game. Classic Auburn home game upset honestly. 1st half was all auburn, 2nd half was all Texas A&M. 7. #7 Alabama’s lethargic game against Oklahoma losing 24-3- Jaylon Milrow threw 3 interceptions, only threw for 164 yards and was 11/26. Oklahoma was all running game: 257 yard on the ground. Questions for the week?1. There is not really one dominant sec team this season. Major upsets can come weekly. Has something changed in the SEC or has competition just gotten better? 2. Does a Big12 Champion even deserve to be in the playoffs? If things keep going as they are, you might have a 27th ranked team making the playoff. 3. Are there teams trying for that 5th spot rather than making their conference championship game in the SEC or Big10?Week 14 Games:1. Georgia Tech at #6 Georgia- probably not the most likely upset of the week, but Georgia tech has had good games this season, and certainly Georgia has struggled to win some games this season due to interceptions and offensive challenges. 2. #5 Notre Dame at USC- I don’t think USC has any chance in this game. Notre Dame is really playing good football right now. Any hope for the Trojans?3. #7 Tennessee at Vanderbilt- I can’t believe we are saying this is an upset alert, but this team in Nashville has not been g strong this season. Tennessee is a different team though. They have the talent the coaching, the momentum, but man would it throw a wrench in the mix if vandy takes Tennessee out.4. Michigan at #2 Ohio State- anything can happen in this game right? Probably not this season. 5. #16 South Carolina at #12 Clemson- 167-1800 the most anticipated meeting between these two teams in years!6. Auburn at #13 Alabama- 120-3500 somehow I think this show down in the iron bowl can become a classic. Alabama is not dominant by any means, but still a heavy favorite over Auburn, who is coming off the high of a huge upset last week. 7. #3 Texas at #20 Texas A&M-where prices of tickets range from 650-4000 ,this game is vital for Texas A&M to win if they want in the playoffs. In all honesty I think Texas can lose this game and still make the playoffs. Does Steve Sarkisian decide to throw this game and skip the sec championship in the hopes of a 5 seed?

Week 13 College Football: The Race For The Playoffs!
Week 13 College Football From Guys at the Bar Talking Sportswww.guysatthebartalkingsports.comVenmo: @guysatthebartalkingsportsLast weeks games Oregon Vs Wisconsin- showed Oregon weakness winning 16-13. Oregon could not score most of the game. Offense was not able to get momentum. Oregon has a tough game ahead no mater who they play in the Big 10 championship. South Carolina Vs Mizzu- Carolina did squeeze out this win in the end. 34-30 win. Very exciting final 2 minutes. Should gamecocks fans be as euphoric as they seem around Columbia, or should the face the reality that yes they have had a decent season, and next year with the Sellars leadership they should maintain a similar trajectory. Florida Vs LSU- big upset, much needed for the gators. Their first significant win for the program in a while. All season they were looming for this. Should Brian Kelly begin packing up now? BYU loses to Kansas- huge loss for the big12, and a nail in the coffin for speculation that 2 teams might make the playoffs from the Big12. 17-13 to the 4-6 Jayhawks. Tennessee loss to UGA- the game was even till the half, but the second half was all Georgia. 31-17 in the end. Both teams are now among the multiple 8-2 teams in the SEC. Carson Beck had no interceptions. This is what happens when they play clean football. New Mexico Beats Washington State- let’s clear the air of speculation of what they do with a 1 loss Washington State. All this loss did was help lose some of the baggage going into December for some of these teams that over perform because of the weakness of their competitors. 38-35Questions of the Week What if we end up with 6 2 Loss SEC teams at the end of the season? How does that affect the SEC championship games loser, and do they let 6 SEC teams in to the playoffs? Should Brian Kelly Start looking for a new job now? Shane Beamer has had a fantastic season so far defying all expectations. Should we start looking at this team for a potential SEC championship run in 2025? So at the end of the season the 120 man roster goes away, with it now being maxed at 105 players. Is this good for college football? This is gong to effect 2000 players in FBS, also FCS, and ever lower level football team. Week 13’s big games: #9 Ole Miss at Florida- #5 Indiana at #2 Ohio State- #16 Colorado at Kansas- Upset alert…. Beat BYU last week #14 BYU at #21 Arizona State- #18 Army at #6 Notre Dame- both navy and army have very similar offenses, and Notre dame handled Navy just fine. Does an upset look like it’s on the horizon? #15 Texas A&M at Auburn- Kentucky at #3 Texas

Week 12 College Football
WEEK 12 COLLEGE FOOTBALL www.guysatthebartalkingsports.comVenmo: @guysatthebartalkingsportsTwitter X: GuyTalksSportsFacebook: search Guys at the Bar Talking SportsSearch us on: YouTube, Apple Podcasts , YouTube Music, Spotify! Last Week’s GamesLSU losing to Alabama at home 42-13- giving Alabama a lot of credit for what they were able to do, go into Baton Rouge and dominate. Jaylon Milroe Ran the ball 185 yards and had 4 TD’s. Brian Kelly said they had a plan to stop the QB run….. better go back to the drawing board on that one. Also 3 turnovers doesn’t help the cause. Milroe has shown himself to be competent this season, and Kaylen Debore is coaching effectively to win games. South Carolina beats Vandy 28-7- Vandy looked like Vandy on Saturday. Carolina dominated the second half. 452 yards. Rocket Sanders is such a talent at running back. Fun to watch. Always running down hill and terrific at breaking tackles to get a few more yards. Ole Miss Beat Georgia 28-10- let’s pick this thing apart. Most of us went with Georgia last week because it really came down to Ole Miss not being successful on both sides of the ball all season. When I came right down to it though, Kirby smart tried 4 times on 4th down and was unsuccessful 3 times. they had 3 turnovers, and Ole Miss was able to hold them to 10 points. Georgia Tech beat Miami 28-23- I love to see these games come right down to the end. Georgia Tech students rushed that field, taking down the #4 team in the country. Miami put up 430 yards, and moved the ball well. But Georgia tech won time of possession, ran the ball effectively, and squeezed out a win. Virginia beat Pitt- 24-19BYU beat Utah- 22-21Questions of the Week:Are we getting close to settling in on a Heisman front runner?Every year with the 4 team playoff in mid November we were able to safely say it would work itself out. This year with the 12 team playoff do y’all really think it’s gonna work itself out? Do we need to get back to divisions in these conferences soon?Next Week’s Games:Utah at #18 Colorado- potential upset? Utah held tight on defense against BYU. I think this one may end up ending Colorado’s dreams for a Playoff Run.#17 Clemson at Pitt; potential upset? Both teams still have a chance to play in the ACC championship game. #21 LSU at Florida- this one is clearly winnable by Florida. It does not have any implications to anyone other than me. Florida got wrecked by Texas, LSU got wrecked by Alabama. Boston College at #14 SMU: potential upset? Boston College is certainly a sneaky team that can pull upsets. Virginia at #8Notre Dame- everyone keeps thinking Notre Dame is going to pull a Notre Dame and choke late in the season. #6 Tennessee at #11 Georgia- this will determine Tennessee’s run for the SEC championship. It’s a must win. Georgia does not control anything now, except keep winning and stay in the top 12, if they lose they are out.#23 South Carolina vs #24 Mizzu- Mizzu has a legit chance if they keep winning to some how make the playoff. Yes they are number 24, but they only have 2 losses. It’s in the mix for them. Unlikely but possible. Thank you!

College Football Week 11
Intros- what was the best sports year of your life…. Meaning all your teams did well/exceeded expectations/or just plain exciting. All sports….05-07- Patriots won Super Bowl, Red Sox had just won the World Series on 04, gators were on top in both basketball and Football. Even the Celtics were getting ready to win the NBA championship in 2008. Top 12 poll from Tuesday Night1. Oregon2. Georgia3. Miami4. BYU5. Texas6. Ohio State7. Tennessee 8. Penn State9. Indiana10. Notre Dame11. Alabama 12. Boise StateWhat if Scenario:1. What if SMU wins out, and beats Miami in the ACC championship?2. What if Iowa State wins out and plays undefeated BYU and wins the Big12 championship?3. I see 4 1 loss big ten teams going into December. Ohio State rematches Oregon in the Big Championship and loses. We are seriously looking a 4 big 10 teams then. If OSU loses to Oregon, do they just get dropped to a 10 seed? Still 4 in the playoffLast weeks games1. Florida vs Georgia- sadly I had to watch the gators season go down in flames as DJ Lagway’s injury is likely season ending. Florida led at the half off of 3 interceptions, and capitalizing on them. But you can see the defense and offense change once Lagway left the game. They still wanted to win, but there was doubt. With Lagway in there was no doubt. Georgia has some problems to deal with on offense and defense if they want to win a Natty.2. South Carolina vs Texas A&M- game of the week in my opinion. Texas A&M just never figured out this Gamecocks defense. They were all over TAMU’s Qb, and the Tamu defense could not seem to tackle these Gamecock receivers and Sellers.3. Clemson loss to Louisville- Louisville pounced on these tigers on Saturday. going up 26-7 by the end of Q3. The quick Louisville offense really threw the Clemson defense for a loop. 4. Oregon beats Michigan - last week Mt Man said that of the 110,000 people in the stadium none could play Qb. Clearly the only one who could play Qb last week was Dillon Gabriel. 294 yards passing, clean football by Oregon over all. Those 110k fans did not affect Oregon at all. 2 five yard penalties, 10/15 on 3rd down. This crowd was silenced by Q2, and probably leaving by mid-q3.5. Penn State loss to Ohio State- sort of a defensive battle between these two teams on Saturday. The coaches both trashed for never winning the big game. Ryan Day comes out on top. Still some weakness around Ohio State, but the oline showed someQuestions of the week1. Does anyone feel like depth has been reduced on teams causing more parody in the SEC and Big10 and elsewhere?2. Games of the Week 111. #20 Colorado at Texas Tech- coach prime is going into this game at 6-2 coming off a bye week. Texas Tech is 6-3. Colorado is favored by 32. #19 Clemson at Virginia Tech- after last weeks performance I suspect Clemson got a second wake up call for the season. Virginia Tech was looked at as a potential threat in the ACC this season,3. Michigan at #8 Indiana- Michigan has had 1 win in 4 weeks. They are still working out the QB problems. Unbeaten Indiana hopes to stay that way. Kurtis Rourke has been exceptional at QB for the Hoosiers. Michigan does not have the defense to keep him out of the end zone. 4. #2 Georgia at #16 Ole Miss- big matchup this weekend. Ole Miss has 2 losses, and they don’t want that 3rd one. A win against Georgia will give the credibility to take a top 12 spot with two losses. Georgia struggled against Florida and Kentucky this season, Will the Jaxon Dart offense be to much for the Georgia Defense?5. #11 Alabama at #14 LSU- both teams are 6-2, both teams have playoff chances on the line here. hey are going to Death Valley at night. 6. #9 BYU at Utah- undefeated BYU looks to keep their record on tarnished. Utah was the powerhouse in the mountains of the Pac 12 7. South Carolina at Vanderbilt - coming off a huge win against Texas A&M last week. The gamecocks certainly want to knock out another ranked opponent

Alabama beats Mizzu- 34-0.2. Pitt beats Syracuse 41-133. Boise State beats UNLV- 29-24.4. Ohio State beats Nebraska 21-17: Ohio state was lethargic this game. The offensive line struggled..5. Texas Beats Vandy- 27-24.6. Texas A&M beats LSU 38-23: both of these teams were playing to be at the top of the SEC,Looking at Week 10 CFB1. Pitt at SMU- ACC leaders, Pitt has been winning but not blowing anyone out to bad except Syracuse last weekend, while SMU is fairly solid offensively but lacking defensively. This could be a really close game in my opinion. SMU is a 7.5 point favorite, probably because they are expected to score easily. Pitt showed they can play though, forcing turnovers and interceptions. This could be close, with Pitt even coming out on top.2. Duke at Miami- coach: Mario Cristobal. Cam Ward is QB.Duke held their own against SMU last week. Losing in OT by a point. They have no trust in their kicker, and will have to figure out that piece to beat Miami. Probably have to figure out a lot. ,Miami has had some close calls. Virginia Tech, Cal and Louisville all 1 possession games. Duke is probably at par with those 3 teams, maybe even having a better defense. Only 1 team put up more than the 28 points SMU put up. 3. Texas A&M at South Carolina-coach: Beamer and Mike Elko. QB Conner Wiegman or Marcel Reed: I should buy tickets to this game, because SC at home is going to be huge against TAMU. Texas A&M is running on all cylinders right now, looking well coached, with players who believe they can come from no where and win it all. The gamecocks of put some good games together while slacking on others, so, depending on which team we got, this could be an upset for the week.4. Florida vs Georgia: Billy Napier and Kirby Smart. QB; DJ Lagway and Carson Beck: obviously on paper Georgia is the better team this season, but they are not the team they have been from total production standpoint. Gators are still trying to figure things out with DJ Lagway replacing an injured Graham Mertz..5. Clemson vs Louisville- coach: Dabo Swinney and Jeff Brohm. QB Cade Clubmick. since their loss to Georgia Clemson has been wrecking their opponents. Louisville is mid-tier at best, with a good offense, but little defense. Clemson wins6. Oregon at Michigan- coach: Dan Lanning and Sherrone Moore. QB: Dillon Gabriel: how to be relevant this season, beat Oregon in the big house. Michigan has not found their place yet though. Oregon just has to many weapons on both sides of the ball to play down to Michigans level. 7. Ohio State at Penn State: Ryan Day. James Franklin. QB: possible that Penn States QB Drew Allar is out, and a true freshman will be in. Will Howard has the chops to win this game, as long as they play aggressively and he can get the protection needed by a young offensive line.

College Football Week 9
Week 9 College Football Looking Back1. Miami at Louisville - exceptional football game, Miami pulled it off, but fun to watch. Almost 100 points put up and 4 td’s in the 4th quarter. Does this help Miami legitimize Miami’s story yet?2. Indiana wrecked Nebraska 56-7- no one thought this would happen. Nebraska defense was on their heals the entire game. Dylan Raiola showed his lack of experience, throwing 3 interceptions. Indiana just curb stomped Matt Rules Cornhuskers. 495 yards of total offense by Indiana. 3. Tennessee 24-Alabama 17- the first half was pretty low key, with only 7 points scored by Alabama, Tennessee was actually looking rough. 3 turnovers. That changed in the second half, Tennessee scored twice, going up 14-10. Really came down to discipline on Tennessee side, and them wearing down Alabama enough to win. They were able to run the ball, and defensively they got plenty of stops. 4. LSU beat Arkansas 34-10: I thought we had a potential upset only our hands going into the week. Arkansas has played some good football, but they did not play well on Saturday. 3 turnovers and 15 first downs as compared to 25 first downs for LSU. That does not win games. LSU held Arkansas to 38 yards rushing on 19 carries.5. Georgia 30 Texas 15- taking Quinn Ewers out of the game sure did spur some conversation during and after that game, but later Sarcquisian made it clear that Ewers is his starter. But even the manning name doesn’t scare the bull dogs. Carson Beck wasnt even really on his game, he threw 3 interceptions. Georgia stuck to their running game and solid defense, blowing out Texas in the first half 22-0. Hard to come back from that, but Texas tried. Scoring all 15 points in the 3rd quarter, but not getting any fiurther than that. 6. Iowa State barely beat UCF 38-35- iowa state allowed 354 rushing yards against UCF, they are ranked #10 the highest ranked big12 team. They better tighten up that run defense if they are gonna win in the playoffsQuestions of the week:Lets take a look at the potential conference Championship situation: SEC- Texas A&M and LSU are unbeaten, Georgia, Tennessee, Mizzu, Texas and Vandy are 1 conference loss. ACC- Clemson, Miami, Pitt, SMU, unbeaten, but Duke Syracuse and Virginia Tech can still write their own ticket with 1 lossB1G- Indiana, Oregon, Penn State unbeaten, Illinois, Wisconsin, Ohio State- 1 lossBig12- BYU, Iowa State- unbeaten k-state, Texas Tech, Cincinnati, Colorado 1 confrence lossAAC- Army, Navy, Tulane are all in the running, since none have lost a conference gameOthers - safe to say no other conference champs will make playoffs just because of the dominance of the ACC so far. Do UNLV or Boise State make it in? It comes down to highest ranked G5 conference winning team in the committee’s poll. UNLV plays Boise StateWeek 9 Games1. #8 LSU at #14 Texas A&M- both of these teams are exceeding my expectations so far. I think they are on par with analysts. TAMU only loss is to Notre Dame, while LSU lost to USC. Both undefeated in conference play. One will get out alive. 2. #5 Texas at #25 Vanderbilt-Texas gets stuck with Vandy on their schedule3. #21 Missouri at #15 Alabama- Mizzu at 6-1 has barely floated by the last several games they’ve played. Especially against any Power 4 team. 4. #12 Notre Dame at #24 Navy- Notre Dame has the #5 Scoring Defense in the country only giving up 12 points per game on average. They are not exceptional against the rush though. Giving up 113 yards per game, ranked 30th in the country..5. Washington at #13 Indiana- Indiana should win this game easily. Washington played Iowa, who lacks consistency on offense yet put up 40 points. 6. #20 Illinois at #1 Oregon- if Oregon can beat Ohio State, you’d think they will be fin against Illinois. Purdue put up 49 against Illinois. 7. #22 SMU at Duke- I’m surprised that Duke is not ranked right now. Both teams are 6-1 contending for a spot in the ACC championship. SMU does put up 440 yards

College Football Week 8
Man what an interesting college football season we’ve got going here, and we get to talk about it on this show. Welcome all of you to another action packed week of Guys at the Bar talking sports. We get the pleasure every week to drink beer and whiskey while discussing college football, not much better of a way to make a living. This week we’ll discussing week 8 college football and looking back on week 7And certainly we want to make a living at this, so if you want to help at minimum support our drinking habits you can Venmo us some beer money at guysatthebartalkingsports. That is our Venmo name. Guysatthebartalkingsports. Surprisingly we have that as our web address, and Facebook group name also.https://www.guysatthebartalkingsports.comLooking back Ohio state at OregonArizona State Beat Utah with Cam rising back. Utah now dropped out of the top 25, I am hearing rumors that Rising a 6 year senior might sit out the rest of the season, and come back next. His hand injury caused him to go 16/37 with 3 interceptions. Is this guys college football career finished? Alabama almost lost to the gamecocks- Discipline issues suspected in Tuscaloosa? Are the gamecocks better than the story their record shows? Penn State Struggling against USC- showed some major weakness. Still won by 3 in overtime. Moved up to #3 in the polls. Jo’Quavious Marks put up 111 yards.Texas vs Oklahoma- Texas controlled that game so well. Is Texas head and shoulders better than everyone else?Kansas State beats Colorado- there was so much hype around Colorado going into this game with both teams at 4-1. I think Colorado and Deion are finding their way slowly in the dark, but this is not the season they’ll reach the top. Questions for the WeekAshton Jeanty. On track to beat Barry sanders records? 1380 yards away and 20 touchdowns from Barry sanders single season record with six games remaining.Of the undefeated teams in the Big10 we have Indiana, Penn State and Oregon. None play each other. All have a semi easy road to undefeated. Oregon, Penn State and Indiana will play Ohio State…… is that going to determine who makes the championship game? Who beats OSU by the most points? Liberty, Army and Navy are the only group of 5 teams left who are undefeated. Army and Navy play on December 14th. AAC championship game is Dec 6th. Does this schedule conflict hurt their chances of a playoff berth? I’m starting to think Liberty will not be a playoff contender just because of their strength of schedule, since we have some strong competition in the other conferences. Games for the Week#1 Texas vs #5 Georgia- Texas seams unbeatable to me. Top 10 in total offense and total defense. And home field advantage. Nebraska At #16 Indiana- Indiana’s undefeated Nebraska’s five and one I don’t think I’ve seen this type of matchup in years between these two teams#7 Alabama at #11 Tennessee- huge potential for both of these teams to establish themselves now that they both have one loss.#24 Michigan at #22 Illinois- Michigan is just trying to hold on to relevancy, while Illinois is trying to establish themselves as relevant#12 Notre Dame at Georgia Tech- they can play some ball this season, and Notre Dame has lost too much worse than Georgia Tech.#8 LSU at Arkansas- Arkansas definitely has the ability to be LSU. They are a good team despite their record. They are at home so at least an hour to deal with death Valley.South Carolina at Oklahoma- I think the gamecocks are looking for some sort of big win right now which they need. Challenge is going to be going into Oklahoma trying to be a team that just came off of a loss.

Our handle is @guysatthebartalkingsports on Venmo. Ryan Williams from Alabama, what a phenomena he is. I just want to share that. The body concoctions he had to do to catch passes against Georgia. That 17 year old is going to be a star.Look back: Miami vs Virginia Tech- controversy surrounding the refs calls more than once including the final call that gave Miami the win- 38-34Minnesota vs Michigan- Michigan barely squeezes this win out- 27-24Kentucky vs Ole Miss- huge upset- Kentucky wins 20-17Georgia Vs Alabama, instant classic. Literally why we watch football. Alabama up 21 points in the first quarter. Georgia fights their way back. Takes the lead with a minute left. But Milrow connects for a TD pass and seals the win, 41-34. Arizona takes out #10 Utah. Arizona got their first Big12 win in a 23-10 victory against Utah. Isaac Wilson threw 2 interceptions and was 20/40. Notre Dame exactly the best performance in his Devon start as Cam Rising recovers from injury Questions for the week:Will we get to watch Liberty play app state?BYU is winning the Big12 right now. Great QB play, if they stay healthy, looking at there schedule they may be undefeated. If they lose the Big 12 championship but only have that lose, are they still in the playoff?Big12- BYU, Colorado, Texas Tech, Iowa State, Kansas State and Utah all look like contenders to win. What if Colorado beats Kansas State on the 12th? They then play Texas Tech, Utah and Oklahoma State in November. Do they fall apart from here? James Madison scored 176 points in 4 games. They are on fire it seems and put up 70 points against UNC. They can easily go undefeated with a very light schedule left. Would they take the place of an undefeated liberty as the group of 5 playoff spot just because they beat UNC?Heisman race: Jaylen Milroe, Cam Ward, Travis Hunter, Ashton Jeanty- Boise State Games of the week:Michigan State at #6 Oregon- Experts are predicting a challenging game for Michigan State as they face #6 Oregon. Here are some key points. Oregon’s Strengths: Oregon is expected to leverage their home advantage at Autzen Stadium. Despite only covering the spread once in four games this season, they are seen as strong contenders Michigan State’s Defense: Michigan State’s defense has been highlighted for its ability to get to the quarterback, ranking 12th in the country in sacks2. This could be crucial in limiting Oregon’s offensive plays. Predictions: Many experts believe that Oregon will handle the game well at home, especially given Michigan State’s recent struggles#9 Mizzu at Texas A&M- for Mizzu this is a must win game to stay relevant. Texas A&M is favored by 1.5 points. The key to this game for Mizzu is Brady Cook taking control of this game early, which he’s struggled to do all season. Texas A&M has played well at home. Starter Conner Wigman may be back this game. #12 Ole Miss at South Carolina coming off of devastating lost in Kentucky. The only way Ole Miss stays relevant is to win this game.Iowa at #3 Ohio State Rutgers at Nebraska #25 UNLV at Syracuse #4 Tennessee at Arkansas M

Our handle is @guysatthebartalkingsports on Venmo. Introduction please!Last Week:Clemson vs NCState- 45 points in the first half by Clemson. Clemson dominated NC State with a 59-35 victory. Clemson scored an impressive 45 points in the first halfAd1. Cade Klubnik threw for three touchdowns and added a 55-yard scoring run2.USC Vs Michigan - Michigan edged out USC with a last-minute touchdown, winning 27-24. Kalel Mullings scored the game-winning touchdown on a fourth-and-goal run with 37 seconds leftMizzu Vs Vandy- Missouri survived a double-overtime thriller against Vanderbilt, winning 30-27. Missouri kicker Blake Craig redeemed himself by nailing a 37-yard go-ahead kick in the second overtimeTennessee vs Oklahoma - In their SEC opener, the Tennessee Volunteers defeated the Oklahoma Sooners 25-15 on. This game marked a significant return for Tennessee’s coach, Josh Heupel, to his alma mater.Questions:Washington State is 4-0 right now. Their path is extremely easy to go 12-0. How happy will a 2 loss Alabama be to play against WS in a playoff game? Or is Washington State legit?Tennessee is lining up to be the team to beat in the SEC they have Alabama and Georgia on the schedule, otherwise an easy road. Will a 10-2 Tennessee be in the playoffs if they lose both of those games? Team that has surprised you this season, for the better and for the worst?Heisman Odds: Who do you think stays the most consistent to win? Should Carson Beck be on this list, or will he sneak in? Games of the week20 Oklahoma State at #23 Kansas State- kstate favored by 4.5. Both teams have good offenses with challenges in key positions.#15 Oklahoma at Auburn: Sooners are a 2.5 point favorite. Both teams are looking to bounce back after poor showings last week. This game will be about defense since both teams can’t put much together on offense. Oklahoma wins #19 Illinois at #9 Penn State - Penn State is heavily favored to win. 17.5 points. 10th ranked rushing offense in the country with a powerhouse defense. If Illinois can contain the rush with their defense, they can keep it close. I’ll stick with Penn State for the win, but they won’t cover.Kentucky at #6 Ole Miss- Jaxon Dart will be all over Kentucky. Although the defense for Kentucky held Georgia back, I think ole Miss is looking like the best offense in the sec. Kentucky gets another Loss.#15 Louisville at #16 Notre Dame - since Notre Dame‘s loss to Northern Illinois. They have been putting up plenty of points. Louisville will be a good match for them. #2 Georgia at #4 Alabama- Georgia is favored by two, but looking at how they showed against Kentucky, I am pretty sure that Alabama’s defense is better than Kentucky and much better off as well. .Liberty at App State- Liberty is favored by 3.5. Both teams have solid players at Qb. But Liberty will win this one.Potential Upset?Stanford at #17 Clemson- with Clemson favored by 21.5 and having exceptional performances the last few weeks, you can see why. Arkansas beats #24 Texas A&M- this is a pretty even matchup if you ask me. Aggies are favored by 5.5. .

Quick Topics: Florida State goes undefeated last season, now 0-3. They play Cal next week. If they go 0-4 would Mike Norvell officially have now excuses? Why isn’t UNC getting into the Top 25? Billy Napier. Is he fired this week? Do they give him through the UCF Game in 2 weeks? What’s the charter path for him? After 3 weeks of football have you changed any thoughts on who will be National Champs, or is the sample size still to small? Last Weeks Games Review Gamecocks nearly pull of the Upset against #16 LSU Look at Tennessee so far this season, 71-0 against Kent state. Do we know how good the Vols are yet? #1 Georgia, now #2 13-12 win over Kentucky. Nebraska 34-3 over Northern Iowa, I think Nebraska is gonna be an upset maker in the Big 10 once they start playing conference games. What happened in the Back Yard Brawl? Looked like a hell of a game? #17 Notre Dame vs Purdue……. Wow, 59 point win. 66-7. What did Marcus Freeman put in their breakfast bowls? Games of the Week week 4 College Football 24 Illinois at 22 Nebraska - I’m liking Nebraska on this game. What is happening at Nebraska is offense is finally complementing the defense. But this will be the first real test for Dillon Raiola. Illinois has a much tougher defense than Colorado. NC State at 21 Clemson #11 USC at #18 Michigan coming off a by week, Sherome Moore said Alex Orji will start the game at QB for Michigan. I don’t think that matters. Michigans problem exist across the whole team. USC is looking much better than I expected so far. QB Miller Moss seems comfortable under pressure. Defense looks solid, so I suspect this will be a close game. #12 Utah at #14 Oklahoma State- battle for the best team in the big 12? Utah is back to their second string QB. Now led by Isaac Wilson, pretty sure this is Zach Wilson’s brother. I like Utah in this game, just because they still have the defense needed to win games. #6 Tennessee at #15 Oklahoma Georgia tech Vs #19 Louisville Arkansas at Auburn

Dave how was that App State game you went to? Any changes in the potential for their season? There is a Non-hype around Colorado. But what Shedeur did was wrong. I have got to say, that guy is not building a team in Colorado. It’s basically a big social media platform at this point. Michigan did not impress me at all against Texas. Do they drop out of the top 25 this season? When is there next loss? Arkansas State, USC Minnesota At Washington @ Illinois Michigan State Oregon Gamecock laid it on Kentucky. Did Shane Beamer just turn the team around or does Kentucky just suck? True Freshman Dillion Stuart is just a monster at the Edge rushing position QB Lenor Sellers, finding his place. How weak is the big 12 and ACC? It’s looking like nothing dominant will come out of either conference. Utah and Arizona, and Miami are it…. Vanderbilt University- 55-0 win over Alcorn State. 2-0 are they gonna disrupt any teams this season? They play Texas, Alabama, Mizzu, Tennessee, LSU, all are currently ranked teams. Last weeks Upsets 1. #21 Iowa loss to Hawkeyes. 2. #5 Notre Dame loss to Northern Illinois 3. Syracuse beats #23 GT 4. #19 Kansas Loss To Illinois Near Loss #7 Oregon to Boise State- #15 Oklahoma to Houston #8 Penn State struggling against Bowling Green #17 Kansas State to Tulane #16 Oklahoma State to Arkansas Games of the Week: 1. #4 Alabama at Wisconsin 2. South Carolina vs #16 LSU- which gamecocks team do we get? Week 1 or week 2? LSU at 1-1 is still a solid team if they can close the game. Can Shane Beamer hang enough on brian Kelly to give them their second loss? 3. #20 Arizona At #14 Kansas State- Kansas State barely hung in there with Tulane. I’m not sure if 2-0 Arizona is better than Tulane, but they probably are. This matchup should be a close call. 4. #24 Boston College at #6 Mizzu- a little early in the season to call BC a good football team. They have 2-0 starts regularly. Mizzu is a legit team. Probably the #6 team in the country. Everyone will be watching Mizzu though, since their schedule is weak, any mess up can be a strike against them. they have had no points score against them yet. That tells me the defense is consistent and doing the right stuff. 5. Tulane At #15 Oklahoma - after nearly beating Kansas State last week, Tulane May be hungry for a win. Oklahoma is not exactly the offensive juggernaut people hoped they’d be. 6. Florida vs Texas A&M- two teams that need a win to start of their SEC conference play. I’m a bit Bias obviously, but with Napier holding the cards close on how he’ll use Mertz and Lagway. It may be tough to practice against this gators offense. Both QBs being a different dynamic to the game. 7. WV vs Pitt- the back yard brawl. Need I say more. Mountaineer give me an unbiased perspective on this game.

We will not be discussing Rishard Mendenhall’s comments, because a dude making an ignorant comment on Twitter is not news and should not be taken serious. End of story. We move on. Thoughts on UCLA’s coach Chip Kelly’s comments after their game about the current state of college football? ““It’s sad,” Chip Kelly said Friday before his team’s win the LA Bowl on Saturday. “The fact that there’s not going to be a Pac-12 next year, the fact that Washington State is not going to be [in] a conference next year, the fact that Oregon State is not going to be in a conference next year, we failed.”I think they’re all a problem and I think we need to have a Conference Commissioner. I think football should be separate from the other sports. Just the fact that our school is leaving to go to the Big 10 in football, our our softball team should be playing Arizona in softball. Our basketball team should be playing Arizona in basketball, but because football left and they say well, how do you do that? 1. Texas vs Washington - sugar bowl: If this ends up being a shootout I would not be surprised. Even with Texas’s strong defense, I have a feeling that Washington will be able to score. Washington has proven twice that that can slow down an extremely dynamic offense, after beating Oregon 2 times. Texas has Quin Ewers who can sling the ball, and a running game that has been very strong all season. No one wanted to play Michigan or Alabama, but these two teams should be ready to fight. Who is the better team in this match up? 2. Michigan vs Alabama - Rose Bowl- Michigan has a slight edge right now according to Vegas odds, but I think we were all surprised that this Alabama team has come together so well behind Jaylen Milroe. This Michigan defense has not faced a QB who can be a weapon with his feet yet, and that’s exactly who they are facing next week. Alabama has the edge on that. But this Michigan Defense has been insane all season. it will be hard for Alabama to score. As for JJ McCarthy, will he be able to take a break with his arm and trust in the running game Afro 4 quarters? Probably not. He’s gonna have to use that arm, and get the ball into the hands of his receivers to win on that side of the ball. 3. Florida State vs Georgia - Orange Bowl: some are calling this the National Championship game. Both teams are seeing the backups leave for the portal. Some say this game may not be played by some of the key players. Brock Bowers is likely not playing. Carson beck is coming back,so he’ll play. They were not slowed down without Bowers when he was out. I think Georgia has the edge, but Florida State has a chip on their shoulder and a lot to prove. 4. #7 Ohio State vs #9 Mizzu - Cotton Bowl 5. #10 Penn State vs #11 ole Miss - Peach Bowl 6. #8 Oregon vs #23 Liberty- Fiesta Bowl What Da Fu- SEC had terrible representation right now in men’s College basketball. 2 teams in the top 25. First team #12 Tennessee and Kentucky. Last Call: What is your favorite Christmas gift you ever received in your life?

Biggest Upsets Coming in Week 12 College Football
Thanks everyone for tuning in for another week of guys at the bar talking sports. Neighborhood friends who get together weekly at the Neighborhood Watering hole MJ’s Grill in Columbia SC with some brews and a microphone. Stay tuned as we discuss: week 12 college football. Games of the week 1. #16 Utah at #19 Arizona- I’m not really sure about this game. Utah has not had an upset yet, they have won the games they were expected to win, and lost all the toss up games. Arizona is exceeding expectations this season. 2. #1 Georgia at #21 Tennessee - Tennessee was embarrassed last week. Georgia is out for blood. Tennessee plays better at home than away like they were last week. Josh Heupel will have the team ready, but will that be enough to take down the best Offense Georgia has had in a long time? 3. #2 Michigan at Maryland- my potential upset scenario going into their final game, Michigan is great. They showed it last week. They don’t need to throw the ball to win. Maryland does have a pretty solid offense, better through the air than Penn state. The only thing that makes me think it might have upset potential is that the game is an away game for Michigan, they don’t have their coach on the sideline, lots of noise out there, and they may be looking ahead to next week. 4. #9 Louisville at Miami- Miami held their own against FSU last week. They kept up. I don’t think Louisville is better than FSU. All 10,000 fans will be in the stadium for this Miami home game, do they take down #9Louisvile? 5. #5 Washington at #12 Oregon State: Washington has not blown out any of these ranked opponents over the last 4 weeks, but they’ve taken down 4 top 25 teams already. With this win, if they win, will this be enough to silence the naysayers? Michael Penix Jr is a dynamite QB. He has weapons in the air and on the ground.

Big Week 8 Matchups in College Football!

Words of the Day describes a game from last weekend: 1. Unexpected- Notre Dame’s complete routing of USC. I just thought they were better than that on Offense. To allow Notre Dame to put up 48 points is one thing, to only put up 20 points with the “best” QB in the country? 2. Damn- sad to see Brock Bowers go out with an ankle injury. Probably done for most of the regular season. 3. Told you so- graham Mertz is the right guy at Florida at the QB position. Comfortable in the pocket. Quick to get out and move when needed, still comfortable on the run. 1900 yards passing 12 TD’s. If he stays around 1-2 more years, we are looking good with such a young team in Gainesville. 4. Beast mode- gotta say Stanford in the second half against Colorado. What a complete and utter debacle in Colorado Springs last a Thursday. Stanford looked like a high school team in the first half. Missed pass after missed pass. Something happened in that locker room at halftime, cause a different team came out for the second half. 5. Bar Room Brawl?- Florida vs Carolina game. It had me stressed out the entire game. Florida scores on the opening drive fairly easily, then Spenser Rattler throws up a couple of those deadly accurate passes he does, and boom 7 points on Carolina’s first drive. This 1 for 1 seemed to keep up till the 4th quarter with 9 minutes left, Carolina goes up by 10, and I thought it was over. Games of the Week: 1. #7 Penn State at #3 Ohio State- Ryan Day vs James Franklin If there’s a game for Ohio State to lose the season as this one. Penn State is all around solid with this season. They have depth at defense that will last all four quarters. A solid offense, that can both pass and run the ball. On the other hand, Ohio State has show they can wear down an opponent, offensively they are not even in the top 25, but they do what it takes in the second half every week to win. #17 Tennessee at #11 Alabama : Listener Will Farrell said he has so much confidence in Tennessee, that if Alabama wins, he’ll buy us a round of beer! I’m not as confident in Tennessee as he is. South Carolina at #20 Mizzu- upset in the making? 4. #13 ole Miss at Auburn- The other upset for the week. At Auburn, war eagle flying high? Will there be TP in the trees of Toomer’s Cormer? 16 Duke at #4 FSU- Duke has had one hell of a run this season. If they were playing in Durham I would say Duke stands a chance, but Tallahassee has some pent up energy from years and years of watching a sucky team play every week. That stadium is going to be on fire with the war chant on Saturday. 14 Utah at #18 USC- I feel sorry for Utah right now because this is a USC team that has something to prove. People are voting at Lincoln Riley as a coach, but this guy knows what he’s doing. Last Call!!! Are any coaches on the hot seat right now? Shane Beamer? Nope. It seems to me that the last 6 years has seen so much turn over, that some of these coaches should be allowed to stay put, let these cards fall like NIL, transfer portal, and the new conference alignment. If they give it a few years, any good coachshould be able to begin competing.

CFB’s #1 vs #2 Offense: Who Will Win?
Games of the Week: 1. #8 Oregon at #7 Washington- Michael Penix Jr vs Bo Nix. Penix, 2000 yards passing, 75% completion, only 2 interceptions. Vs Nix: 1459 yards passing, 80.4% completions, 1 interception. Oregon is only giving up 12 points per game, Washington is allowing 18 points per game. #1 total offense vs #2 total offense. Game changer is Oregon is the number 6 defense in the country, while Washington does not even break the top 50 2. #18 UCLA at #15 Oregon State- I’ll defer to my favorite Oregon State fan, but I think both teams are dead even on total offense per game, but ucla is a top 5 defense. Their only loss is to Utah, and last week they beat Washington State. I don’t know that the WSU is as big of a win as it looks right now, since they’ll probably end with four losses. The interesting thing is that Oregon state lost to Washington State, but beat Utah. Perfectly even match up. 3. #25 Miami at #12 UNC- devastating loss at Miami last week. Honestly, the stupidest play ever cold, but it looks like the players elbow is down during the replay. It’s still an L for the hurricanes. UNC is a dynamite team, with a quarterback who can get the job done. I think this is a very evenly matched up. 4. #10 USC at #21 Notre Dame- this is Notre Dame‘s last stand. He said that last week also and they lost. The only thing that I think may allow Notre Dame to pull off a win is that USC does not have the defense that Ohio State has, and won’t be able to get into the face of Sam Hartman. That is his weakness. Notre Dame does have a decent defense, but is it enough to stop the reigning Heisman champion? 5. Texas A&M at #19 Tennessee - I really think this can be an upset situation this week. seems that Josh Heupel has his boys in line after the loss to Florida, this is also a home game, so the they don’t have to fight the crowds. Texas A&M held their own with Alabama, and seems to be doing well in the games. I think Tennessee is favored by 2 points in this game, so all Indications are that this will be a close match. Max Johnson had his first start of the season last week against Alabama, and was not exactly perfect, but still had 239 yards passing. If they can get the game going on the ground, I think Texas A&M has the defense to make Joe Milton scramble and keep the offense on their heals. 6. Florida at USC- USC is favored in this game. Florida plays Terribly away. Billy Napier is perfectly aware of this, and actually arrived in South Carolina a day earlier so the team can begin preparations. Will this be enough to help the team keep their heads in this important away SEC matchup? It will be a tough one, with Carolina being a bit better on the run and defense than I expected at the beginning of the season. Will this be a head banger? I’m not sure, both teams have been inconsistent. It’ll come down in my opinion to whether Florida’s defense cans step up and get into Rattlers head early to break his confidence. If this happens, Florida should be able to score enough to beat the gamecocks at home. What the Fu- I’ve never been much for listening to the Paul Finbum show……. So today I listened for about 4 minutes….. and what da Fu, now I remember why. God that is hard to listen to when you have people literally calling in to hear themselves talk….. Last Call Who is at the top of your list for Heisman- Michael Penix Jr is the man, But don’t count Shadour Sanders out. He leads the pack in passing yards total, and 2nd in passing yards per game. Surprisingly Carson Beck at Georgia is #4 in total passing yards this season. Ray Davis at Kentucky leads the county in most points, 72 with 12 points per game. Top 10 in rushing yards.

Is There A Clear #1 In College Football?
Thanks everyone for tuning in for another week of guys at the bar talking sports. Neighborhood friends who get together weekly at the Neighborhood Watering hole MJ’s Grill in Columbia SC with some brews and a microphone. Stay tuned as we discuss: Week 6 College football games like the Red River Showdown between the Oklahoma Sooners and the Texas Longhorns We’ll be taking a look at the Georgia Kentucky game, and a few games I think may end up taking down an undefeated top team or two. Our handle is @guysatthebartalkingsports Words of the Day describes a game from last weekend: 1. Unexpected- USC struggled heavily against Colorado. 2. Completely expected- Texas’s overall performance so far this season. I knew this was gonna be a good season for them, and they continue to impress. 3. Damn- Florida vs Kentucky 4. Told you so- I don’t have one. 5. Beast mode- Ray Davis’s performance against the Florida gators. They looked like a high school defensive line. Questions from the Web: 1. I know this has is not an NFL show, BUT: WTF is up with the Bengals and Joe Burrow? 2. Which team is honestly the #1 team, or are there just a bunch of possible #1 teams 3. What do y’all think of the new clock rules in CFB so far? 4. Is Colorado still relevant after coming back and almost beating USC? Games of the Week: 1. Maryland at #4 Ohio State- Ohio state better not be underestimating Maryland going into week 6. Yes they are playing at home, but Maryland has been making easy work out of everyone they’ve faced this season leading to a 5-0 start. Taulia Tagovailoa is actually a very effective QB. 1464 yards on the season, 26th ranked QB in CFB. OSU is ranked 18th in passing offense, Maryland is ranked 19th. Maryland is ranked 31st in total offense, while OSU is ranked 33rd. Where these two teams separate is on defense, where OSU will clearly dominate. That being said, if that defense gets that little push that some teams get from adrenaline, OSU better be ready. 2. #23 LSU at #22 Mizzu- I feel like LSU defensively was looking good until last week against Ole Miss. That d could not stop a quality offensive team, and I think Mizzu has been studying that tape, and they have the talent to capitalize. Redshirt JR. Brady Cook has shown he can score at will so far this season. LSU has show the same though. Defense will be the factor in this game, LSU has to do better. Will Brian Kelly have LSU’s defense wiped into shape, or does this game come down to two very good QB’s in Cook and Jayden Daniels going back and forth in a fun shootout? 3. #12 Oklahoma vs #3 Texas. #20 Kentucky at #1 Georgia. #11 Alabama at Texas A&M. #10 Notre Dame at #25 Louisville- 1 loss Notre Dame vs 0 loss Louisville. Last Call: Give me a few teams that make it out of October undefeated?

Top Picks For Week 5 College Football
Thanks for listening to Guys at the Bar Talking Sports. The HQ for College Football fans. Your Taylor Swift Free Podcast. Hopefully! #10 Utah at #19 Oregon State- Utah is unbeaten while Oregon State lost to Washington State last week. That tells me everything I need to know about this game really. Utah has been doing fine without Cameron Rising. Whether he plays or not, Utah will win this game. #8 USC at Colorado- Colorado was exposed last week for what everyone already knew, but did not have the balls to say. Their Defense is weak, and their pass protection is none existent, while their running game is in rear 0 for the season. This is a team that had the hype, and that put them into the top 25. They are gone now, and after this week will not return till next year. #22 Florida at Kentucky- to me Florida going to face unbeaten Kentucky is gonna be a tough road game. We saw brilliance from Graham Mertz against Tennessee, and the running game seems to be getting some traction. Defense right now, is number 1 in the SEC and number 5 in the country…. You heard that right, even vs Georgia who has only played cupcakes to this point. This game defines the Gators second half of the season. Kentucky is good, and they’ll be at home. Devon Leary at Kentucky seems to be doing well, he’s a senior with experience. He was a starter at NC State for 4 years, so he has taken a lot of snaps. He has thrown 5 interceptions in 4 games, which has me concerned about his decision making. Key to this game for the gators, get into Leary’s head early pound him. Stop the run, and on offense, have a balanced game, and capitalize when you are in the end zone. #1 Georgia at Auburn- Chopper has been calling this upset since August. After last week, I don’t think I believe him. 56 passing yards against Texas A&M last week. The defense at Georgia will be much tougher. Georgia has struggled the first half of every game. It’s a constant theme for the Bulldogs, even last season. Auburn better take advantage of that and score early and often. If they do that, I believe they have the defensive fortitude to pull out the upset. But last week made me lose hope. #24 Kansas at #3 Texas- the only two unbeaten teams in the top 25 playing against each other this week. Kansas is my dark horse, BYU last week was a good test to see if they are good, because BYU is not a team. But they are no Texas. Texas’s offense will be able to run rough shot over the Kansas Defense is my prediction. Does Jalon Daniels have it in him to get into a shoot out? This game will come down to that. Texas gets 2-3 stops when needed, and wins this game. #13 LSU at #20 Ole Miss- I really thought Ole Miss had a chance last week, but Alabama showed me what’s up. On the other hand LSU struggled against the razorbacks last week. So this game is likely to be the best fight of the week. Both teams are capable offensively, but need a little work defensively. Jaydon Daniels at LSU is an accurate,He is confident under pressure, and that leadership wins this game for LSU. Ole Miss, this is not your year. #11 Notre Dame at #17 Duke- will Duke lose 2 weeks in a row? Can they shut down a Duke offense that is putting up some of its best numbers in years? Can dukes defense hold up to a very comfortable veteran QB in Sam Hartman? Last week Ohio State seemed to shut him down, but Dukes defense does not compare to the tough OSU defense. I think Notre Dame ends up victories, and takes another team off the unbeaten board. South Carolina at #21 Tennessee- Spencer rattler is completely capable to take this game to Knoxville and win it. Tennessee struggle against Florida. I think this game will be much closer than the Florida game, both teams will be able to score on each other just because the Carolina defense is not as strong as they would like to be. Tennessee does have a good quality running game, as long as they can lean on that and get those big plays Joe Milton can do when accurate.

College Football Week 4 Is Going To Be Huge!

Let’s do some introductions: Words of the Day describes a game from last weekend: 1. Unexpected- Colorado struggling to beat Colorado State, who were 23 point underdogs. Shows the weakness in Boulder. This team may be routed by some of these tougher PAC12 opponents. 2. Damn- Florida beating Tennessee. 3. Told you so- Alabama was shown to be exactly what I thought they might be at the beginning of the season. I said they’d be a 9-3 team. I may pull this back and say they are a 8-4 team, only because defense is gonna be fine to assist them to win games. 4. Beast mode- Washington’s Michael Pinex Jr. 1332 yards, 12 TD’s. If it was not for the hype around Colorado and Shedur Sanders, this guy would and should be getting all the hype. He’s on fire. This team is great. They even have a good defense, which is rare in the PAC12. I have to pose a question: the limelight is bright, it’s hot, it burns people. Especially young people, who can’t handle the fame. Is this gonna affect those young men out in Boulder Colorado? Second question: Travis Hunter got hit pretty hard, and blatant unsportsmanlike conduct by the Colorado State player. Does this hype around Colorado, but also hype around Travis Hunter put a target on his back? From the FB group: David Anthony made a comment 1. “No team seems unbeatable this season.”Why is this? Is this a good thing for CFB? 2. Shawn Kane asks; Did FSU win or did Boston College lose? 17/18 penalties?? I’ve never seen so many false starts. Lots of solid top 25 matchups this week: 1. #19 Colorado at #10 Oregon 2. #4 Florida state at Clemson 3. #15 Ole Miss at #13Alabama 4. #22 UCLA at #11 Utah 5. #14 Oregon State at #21 Washington State 6. #24 Iowa at #7 Penn State 7. #6 Ohio State at #9 Notre Dame What Da Fu Last Call: last week we discussed our college dream team….. who is your NFL dream team.
