College Football Week 14, Rivalry Week!!!

from Guys At The Bar Talking Sports · host Guys At The Bar Talking Sports Network

Week 14 College Football Last week’s games:1. #9 Ole Miss loses to Florida- 24-17- first big upset of the weekend. Florida was not exactly in control the entire game, but you could see that on offense and defense they came to play. They took advantage of a muffed punt return, and several of lane Kiffins signature 4th and short situations to win the field position game. In tell you what, the confidence that the gators play with when DJ Lagway is in the game is night and day difference. The look on the face of Jaxson Dart, realizing his chances at a playoff spot were pretty much over. 2. #5 Indiana gets ruined by #2 Ohio State- 38-15- Ryan Day vs curt Cigneti. OSU only had 316 yards total. Offensively they were not just destroying Indiana. They did hold Kurtis Rourke to 68 yards passing, and Indiana to 83 yards rushing. 3. #4 Penn State scrapes by Minnesota- 26-25- this team being number 4 in the country seems line a joke. They are not on fire but they do keep winning. If it weren’t for a couple turnovers Minnesota would have pulled this off the win.4. Kansas Beats #16 Colorado- 37-21- Colorado is not the new Georgia. Not sure if Deion really said that, but it’s not true. Kansas has found their footing late in the season, taking out the two best teams in the Big12 the last 2 weeks. 5. #21 Arizona State beat #14 BYU- 28-23- we all predicted this game was gonna be an ASU win. BYU only scored 3 points in the first half. They would probably have won this game if they did not have 2 interceptions. 6. Auburn beats #15 Texas A&M-43-41- 3 overtime’s for this game. Classic Auburn home game upset honestly. 1st half was all auburn, 2nd half was all Texas A&M. 7. #7 Alabama’s lethargic game against Oklahoma losing 24-3- Jaylon Milrow threw 3 interceptions, only threw for 164 yards and was 11/26. Oklahoma was all running game: 257 yard on the ground. Questions for the week?1. There is not really one dominant sec team this season. Major upsets can come weekly. Has something changed in the SEC or has competition just gotten better? 2. Does a Big12 Champion even deserve to be in the playoffs? If things keep going as they are, you might have a 27th ranked team making the playoff. 3. Are there teams trying for that 5th spot rather than making their conference championship game in the SEC or Big10?Week 14 Games:1. Georgia Tech at #6 Georgia- probably not the most likely upset of the week, but Georgia tech has had good games this season, and certainly Georgia has struggled to win some games this season due to interceptions and offensive challenges. 2. #5 Notre Dame at USC- I don’t think USC has any chance in this game. Notre Dame is really playing good football right now. Any hope for the Trojans?3. #7 Tennessee at Vanderbilt- I can’t believe we are saying this is an upset alert, but this team in Nashville has not been g strong this season. Tennessee is a different team though. They have the talent the coaching, the momentum, but man would it throw a wrench in the mix if vandy takes Tennessee out.4. Michigan at #2 Ohio State- anything can happen in this game right? Probably not this season. 5. #16 South Carolina at #12 Clemson- 167-1800 the most anticipated meeting between these two teams in years!6. Auburn at #13 Alabama- 120-3500 somehow I think this show down in the iron bowl can become a classic. Alabama is not dominant by any means, but still a heavy favorite over Auburn, who is coming off the high of a huge upset last week. 7. #3 Texas at #20 Texas A&M-where prices of tickets range from 650-4000 ,this game is vital for Texas A&M to win if they want in the playoffs. In all honesty I think Texas can lose this game and still make the playoffs. Does Steve Sarkisian decide to throw this game and skip the sec championship in the hopes of a 5 seed?
