Around the globe, societies respond in different ways, ranging from attempts to control nature to approaches that work with biodiversity and ecosystem processes. Understanding how stronger, more thoughtful connections between people and nature can reinforce both social and ecological resilience opens new perspectives for adapting landscapes to climate change.Bruno LocatelliBruno Locatelli is an environmental scientist with Cirad (Agricultural Research for Development) and the University of Montpellier in France. His research focuses on the adaptation of social-ecological systems to climate change and the challenges of nature-based solutions.
