We see Him not only as Savior, but as Creator, Sustainer, and the One who holds all things together. Paul reminds us that the gospel is alive, growing, and producing fruit, and he prays that believers would grow in wisdom, understanding, and spiritual strength. At the center of it all is the truth that Jesus is above everything and must have first place in everything. We are reminded that we have been rescued from darkness, brought into His Kingdom, and given a living hope—Christ in us.
