L’enoturismo è una delle cose più belle che sta accadendo da alcuni anni al vino e al nostro vino in particolare.Ci sono sempre più persone che visitano i territori di produzione del vino e le cantine, che vogliono degustare il vino, incontrare i produttori, godere della bellezza delle vigne, avere una esperienza genuina legata alla terra, ai sapori, al lavoro dell’uomo.In Italia il fenomeno nel 2013 è valso un giro d’affari tra i 4 e i 5 miliardi di euro. Ci sono purtroppo anche ombre perché il potenziale sarebbe ben altro (come spiega il XII Rapporto della Città del Vino). La questione è complessa e chiama in causa le politiche centrali, le infrastrutture, la capacità di posizionarsi delle nostre destinazioni nel processo di acquisto dei turisti. Debolezze perlopiù condivise con il turismo tout court, campo in cui l’Italia dovrebbe essere campione mondiale vista la qualità e la diffusione del patrimonio culturale, artistico ed enogastronomico e che invece la vede costantemente retrocedere nella classifica delle destinazioni più gettonate. Ci torneremo sopra a Wine Internet Marketing.Quello che sappiamo è che l’enoturismo è un trend in continua crescita e che la maggior parte di questi enoturisti sono stranieri (1 milione di visitatori stranieri nel 2012 su un totale di 1 milione e 250 mila presenze turistiche totali).  Molti produttori hanno da tempo trasformato il flusso in business attraverso le degustazioni, la ricettività, la ristorazione. E altri soggetti stanno nascendo per rispondere a questa domanda. L’americano medio beve il vino da solo, magari a casa davanti a un film in tv la sera. Bisogna fargli capire che lo può bere anche a pasto.
