Commissioners Sworn In for Anse Cochon Maritime Collision Inquiry

Four commissioners have been sworn in to investigate the July 18 maritime collision involving the Ocean Angel and Cazorla Jr. Retired Justice Mario Michel chairs the four-member commission, which will examine the circumstances surrounding the collision, as well as Saint Lucia’s maritime laws, safety procedures and protocols. The commission is also expected to recommend measures to strengthen maritime safety and prevent similar tragedies.
