In American society, more and more people seem to be less interested in making any sort of commitment, preferring a quick and easy relationship. Those only seeking a relationship are typically absorbed with themselves, looking only for what they can get out of the relationship. Commitments are very different. Those looking to make a commitment are interested in how they can help other people, and create a better life for those around them.
