Vuelta al cole... Hola a todos, ya de vuelta de unas merecidísimas vacaciones y volvemos con mucha ilusión a este nuevo curso en el que se acercan muchas novedades. Y es que este año, somos patrocinadores del certamen de miss gran Galicia, entre otras funciones, nos toca entregar la banda a la sonrisa más bonita de Galicia, y es que, todos sabemos el importante papel que juega en la imagen nuestra sonrisa, como bien siempre digo, es nuestra carta de presentación. Por este motivo nuestras misses le dan una gran importancia y acuden todas a Herrera y Cores a realizarse todo aquello que necesiten. Cuando hablamos de belleza dental, no me refiero solo a esa imagen que se nos viene a la cabeza de sonrisa blanca y perfecta, sino a tener una buena salud, que es por donde comienza realmente todo el proceso para llegar a conseguir y lucir una bonita sonrisa. Sin duda hay que descartar con una inspección visual y pruebas radiográficas. Que no existan quistes o cualquier tipo de infección. Una vez hecho esto, vemos el estado de nuestras encías. Ver que no exista una gingivitis o una periodontitis. Es decir, que no exista una inflamación alrededor del diente, un sangrado, recesiones... Una vez que comprobamos el estado de estas, pasamos ya a ver los dientes que no presenten caries, fracturas… y comprobamos también si hay ausencias y la mordida. Es decir, una vez que está comprobada la salud, pasamos a comprobar función estética. Cuando hablamos de función nos referimos a si muerde adecuadamente, si no es así necesitará ortodoncia, y miramos también si tiene ausencias, en este caso habrá que reponer para que el resto de dientes y muelas no sufran sobrecargas y puedan fallar. Y ya que hoy hablamos de estética me gustaría hacer hincapié en algo y es que, Son muchos los pacientes que acuden a consulta con el afán de arreglarse solo la parte anterior, sin importar lo que haya atrás. Lo que me gustaría trasmitir hoy, es que una mala mordida posterior, es el principio de los grandes males de la boca, va más allá de tener dientes bonitos, si no que, para que nos duren sanos esos dientes bonitos, tenemos que tener muelas que realicen su función correctamente. Si queremos mejorar estética en dientes de delante tenemos que reponer las muelas que nos faltan para que luego nuestras carillas o coronas, no fracasen. Si el caso nos lo permite, si tenemos hueso suficiente, la mejor opción son los implantes dentales, que todos sabemos ya, que son una estructura de titanio que sustituye a la raíz de nuestros dientes, y, sobre los que luego colocamos las muelas necesarias. Son el tratamiento que más se realiza a día de hoy, y que mejores resultados a largo plazo está obteniendo. Efectivamente, una vez realizado todo lo mencionado, podremos escoger si queremos carillas, blanqueamientos, o cualquier tratamiento que nos permita lucir o mejorar aquello que nos acompleja o nos hace sentir incómodos como puede ser, querer dientes más blancos, o mas largos u otra forma, o incluso alguna cirugía de encías para mejorar su arquitectura y hacerlas más atractivas.  ¿Por dónde comenzarías Ana?
