Lo que no solemos pensar, por muchas veces que hayamos oído el conocido adagio budista de que “el dolor es inevitable, el sufrimiento es opcional”, es que la mayor parte del sufrimiento que padecemos nos lo causamos nosotros mismos. Como muy bien describe Manuel Vicent “Las flechas aciagas que la vida nos lanza casi ninguna da en el blanco. Caen a nuestro alrededor y somos nosotros los que las arrancamos del suelo y nos las clavamos”. Y no es fácil dejar de hacerlo. Porque estamos acostumbrados a funcionar de ese modo y cuesta cortar con los patrones adquiridos.
