Ela é Enfermeira, com mestrado e doutorado em Enfermagem, pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Enfermagem da Universidade Federal de Goiás (PPG-ENF-UFG). Atualmente integra a Rede Brasileira de Letramento em Saúde (REBRALS) e é membro da International Health Literacy Association (IHLA). É docente de Enfermagem na Faculdade Sul-Americana e docente no curso de Medicina na UNIFIMES campus Trindade-GO.
