Comparing The Urantia Book & The Bible With Merritt Horn & Duane Faw's Paramony

Both Merritt Horn and Duane Faw are experts in The Bible and The Urantia Book. This week, Merritt will help guide our exploration of both, using Duane's amazing Urantia/Bible cross reference tool, The Paramony. Duane Faw was a remarkable man and his splendid resource book, The Paramony, is a gift to anyone who will ever read and enjoy both books. He entered the armed services after the attack on Pearl Harbor, and was commissioned as a Marine Corps second lieutenant in 1942 after completing Naval Aviator training. He retired as a U.S. Marine Corps Brigadier General in 1971, having served valiantly in three wars. Duane was not only an American lay worker, a law educator, and decorated combat veteran, he was also a scholar of both The Bible and The Urantia Book. He authored The Paramony, which contains over 60,000 cross-references paralleling and harmonizing both books. Duane loved to say, "The Urantia Book makes my Bible come alive!" Duane died in 2008, but his Paramony will serve us long into the future. Merritt Horn has been reading The Urantia Book since 1968. He recorded the first ever audio version the book. He is currently working on a book that will harmonize Urantia's Part IV, The Life and Teachings of Jesus, with the Bible's New Testament. Merritt is a beloved Urantian scholar and we are delighted to have him on the show.
