It brings people together in ways that nothing else can. Pack hundreds of thousands of human beings into a stadium to listen to another single human or group of humans make sounds with their vocal chords and hands? What a thought!It is one of the most deeply human and awe-inspiring things. It is a language of expression in its own right. Different from speech, from body language, from any other form of communication or emotional proclamation.Now, I’m going to go pick up that guitar in my office that I can’t play very well, but that I play nonetheless because it makes me happy.
